Mitch McConnell Claims He and the GOP will ‘Crush’ Conservative Challengers

“When once a Republic is corrupted, there is no possibility of remedying any of the growing evils but by removing the corruption and restoring its lost principles; every other correction is either useless or a new evil.” ~Thomas Jefferson
In an interview with the New York Times on March 8th, Senate leader Mitch McConnell who has been in power for 29 years claimed that “we are going to crush them everywhere…” when referring to organizations who are promoting Constitutional Conservative candidates.
According to the Times, McConnell (R-Kentucky) has launched a new ad claiming that the Senate Conservatives Fund, one of the main groups behind the challenger, Matt Bevin, are fund-raising and business enterprises more than political operations and claims that the PAC “solicits money under the guise of advocating for conservative principles but then spends it on a $1.4 million luxury townhouse with a wine cellar and hot tub in Washington, D.C.”
Matt Hoskins, head of the S.C.F. responded saying, “Mitch McConnell isn’t upset because S.C.F. rents a townhouse for office space; he’s upset because we’re spending money on radio and TV ads that expose his record of voting for bailouts, more debt, higher taxes and Obamacare funding.”
McConnell stated, “I know this: Politics doesn’t like losers…If you don’t have anything to point to, it is kind of hard to keep it going.” suggesting that if Conservative candidates lose later this year, we will all go away.
I have a few words for Mitch McConnell and more than a handful of others who are facing Constitutional Conservative challengers: Not all everyone is associated with the groups who are backing the same candidates we are, and while we may not have quite the name recognition as some of the bigger PACs and Organizations, we have something that establishment politicians such as yourself fear- wide awake citizens who are sick and tired of overpaid public servants who have forgotten that We the People are your Boss, and we plan on handing a lot of you pink slips this November.
There are more real grass roots organizations than you realize. We are looking at the GOP just as much as we are the Democrats; we are not happy and we are doing as much as we can to help change the scenery in Washington. See you at the polls.
