BREAKING! OK's Costello "Condemns Nationalized Common Core Takeover of Education"

Stop Common Core grassroots folks have always known that we have the support of many of our legislators and office holders that are against the overreach of the nationalized education program. Yesterday in Oklahoma, things started shaking loose!
An amendment filed to SB1764 late yesterday by Oklahoma State Senators Sykes and Brecheen, will stop Common Core state standards in Oklahoma and return Oklahoma education to the control of those best in charge of their children’s education – parents. In the Oklahoma House, Speaker Jeff Hickman yesterday filed similar language in an amendment to HB3399 providing the same assurances. Both SB1764 and HB3399 are already out of committee and should be heard on the floor very soon. Oklahoma grassroots groups together with the legislators against Common Core are shooting for support to pass it with a veto-proof majority.
Also on Monday, Oklahoma’s highly esteemed Labor Commissioner Mark Costello penned his own article against Common Core which I have included below. These Senators, Representatives and our Labor Commissioner among others have taken the position on the front lines to side with the People of Oklahoma. It could be a game changer for other states as well.
Is it possible to overcome the cash cows and power brokers, Bill Gates, the State Chamber of Commerce, et.al., who are funding efforts to keep Common Core and all its tentacles? Can We the People overcome the National Governors Association and Council of Chief State School Officers, the private clubs that behind closed doors got Common Core pushed into the states? We are praying and working towards that end!
From Labor Commissioner Mark Costello’s article: “Common Core is an assault on local control of education. In any of the fifty states and 19,429 local communities I would rather defer to a parent, who loves their child, to protect the interests of their child than to an elitist bureaucrat.”
