4.2 Million Obamacare Signups? Not So Fast Dems
According to the Obama administration, 4.2 million people have enrolled in Obamacare. Democrats are cheering claiming that they will only fall slightly short of their goal of 7 million by the end of March deadline in order to avoid the Obamacare penalty. However, according to 7 of the states that released information on the number of enrollees who have actually paid for their premiums, it appears that Democrats may be celebrating a little too soon.Not so fast Democrats. How many of these enrollees have actually paid for their premiums? Connecticut, Maryland, Nevada, California, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington’s combined figures that were published by Obamacare marketplaces indicate that only 79% of those enrolled have paid for their premiums. That would equate to about 1.1 million enrollees who have not. That would also bring the total number of enrollees down to just 3.3 million signups which would make the number far short of their goal of 7 million.
More troubling reports reveal that just 27% of new signups did not have insurance prior to the rollout of Obamacare.
