Parents Beware: State Leaders Want to Rename Common Core to Fool the Public

Common Core Standards might just be the most despised education policy politicians have shoved down the throat of We The People since the creation of the U.S. Department of Education. But instead of getting rid of the common core atrocity, they have decided all that’s needed is to rename it:
Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R) used an executive order to strip the name “Common Core” from the state’s new math and reading standards for public schools. In the Hawkeye State, the same standards are now called “The Iowa Core.” And in Florida, lawmakers want to delete “Common Core” from official documents and replace it with the cheerier-sounding “Next Generation Sunshine State Standards.”

On that note, I’d like to suggest a few new names for Gov. Brewer, Gov. Branstad, Gov. Bush and cohorts.
After all, with new names maybe the public will end up liking them better?
