Obama Helps Terrorists While Our Military is Being Gutted

13107_hagel_barack_obama_605_apReports have been coming out about Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel’s announcement promising drastic and dangerous cuts to our Military budget and Troop levels.

The excuse is always given to save money.  Hagel will recommend billions of dollars in annual budget cuts that would reduce housing allowances and other benefits, increase health-care premiums, and limit pay raises- this on top of the other cuts from the latest budget which was supposedly fixed but wasn’t fixed where millions of Veterans, returning troops and future veterans will still have reductions in their pensions among other benefits. This is absolutely reprehensible.  The Army had already been preparing to shrink to 490,000 active-duty members from  the 570,000 wartime peak, but now with the latest, Hagel is proposing to cut it further to between 440,000 and 450,000 which would make it the smallest since just before the U.S. entered the Second World War.

The US is spending at least $2 Billion annually to pay the United Nations and on top of that, the last numbers found for foreign aid in 2012, in which the government sent $37.7 Billion overseas, while the 2013 numbers were estimated at more.  We have spent billions on a disaster of Obamacare including: more than $4.3 Billion spent on 2,118 grants and contracts so far to try and get the so called AHA going, the website cost more than $1 billion, $1.1 billion for states to set up their own websites and $67 million in government grants for the 105 navigator groups to try to get people to sign up for ObamaCare.

The point is, you get the point. I’ve written before about how much money is spent on illegal aliens, foreign enemies, and ridiculous pork projects, so called science grants and other federal bureaucratic costs.  There are always billions available to be spent by our government when it’s something they want. If the money can’t be found, they take more from taxpayers- but those who actually have given the most for our country always lose.

This latest cut threatened by Hagel during a time when Obama has been creating a disaster in the Middle East is treasonous. I know I say that word a lot, and I don’t say it lightly. The federal governments first and foremost duty, which all those in office swear to do according to the Constitution, is to protect the citizens of this country.  Our present administration has done nothing to provide for the common defense, but has done plenty with help from both houses of congress to keep a pathway open to those who hold no allegiance to the US, and who have armed terrorists during a time of war.  To cut more troop levels when Obama’s actions and inactions have caused a new insurgency in Iraq where we spent billions in dollars and priceless lives lost, when Afghanistan is still boiling and more of our overextended forces are being killed or severely wounded is treasonous; there’s no other word for it.

These latest cuts to our forces could be a valid point if we were not embroiled in war or conflict in so many countries already and under threat from more. If it was true Obama’s bogus claim that Al Qaida was on the run, or decimated, and other terrorist organizations weren’t involved in our government, then maybe it would be understandable.

This is not incompetency; it’s not ignorance or ineptness. These latest cuts in the words of Retired Gen. Jack Keane are not only disproportionate compared to the total federal budget, but will affect the ability of the Army to prosecute wars as it has in the past, quickly and with low casualty count.  Military families have suffered massive loss during the Afghanistan war under Obama. The death toll to our military is heartbreaking when considering how much our forces hands are tied and not being allowed to fight as they have in past wars.  Once America’s forces were something to be reckoned with, because they were allowed to do their jobs and fight their enemies. While we still have the best forces in the world , the ROE’s in place are basically tying the hands of our troops on the ground in various ‘hell holes’ around the middle east and North Africa and this latest action taken by the Obama administration only adds more treachery and harm to our Country and all who are fighting.  Obama and too many others fail to understand the simple yet effective truth of Peace through Strength or they just don’t care.

Another sad fact is, our congress has allowed it, and added to it.  I have and will continue calling out by name those who have done much to endanger not only the citizens of the United States but worse- those of our best, our men and women who serve our country.  I hope someone has the guts to hold the lot of them to account, do their jobs that the Constitution and we the people demand and impeach.
