Lt. Behenna Gets Parole From Prison Sentence For Killing Terrorist
Army Ranger Lt. Michael Behenna received news that he was denied clemency for killing Ali Mansur, a known Al Qaeda operative while serving in Iraq. But that’s not the end.
Instead, Lt. Behenna has received parole from his 25 year prison sentence for “Unpremeditated murder.”
“During the return of Mansur, Lt. Behenna again questioned the Al Qaeda member for information about other members of the terrorist cell, and financial supporters. During this interrogation, Mansur attacked Lt. Behenna, who killed the terrorist in self-defense. The government subsequently prosecuted Lt. Behenna for premeditated murder.” Read more here.
Allen B West congratulates Lt. Behenna and his family, while reminding us there are other cases still needing to be resolved:
“Congratulations to the Behenna family; Michael is coming home. Michael, God has rewarded you for your faith as he heard yours and many others’ prayers. Next we have to get justice for 1LT Clint Lorance.” Read more here.
