“Transitional living fund”…sound catchy or downright idiotic? I vote for the latter. Never to disappoint, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee has come up with a new way for the American voter to feel their IQ has dropped significantly. On the House floor, Rep. Lee actually suggests that we take the word “welfare” out of our vocabulary to describe people on Government assistance and instead consider it just a “transitional” period. So for $20 trillion dollars and 50 years later our “War on Poverty” can now best be described as a “Joust with Transition”.
