Raleigh NC Obamacare Protest Set for TODAY Jan. 15

No-No-obamacareOn Wednesday, January 15, 2014, a group of Americans shall exercise their guaranteed first amendment right to peacefully assemble.  It just so happens they will be peacefully assembling in protest right across the street from the J. W. Isenhour Tennis Center on the campus of North Carolina State University where president Obama will be giving a speech.

This will actually be president Obama’s second trip to NCSU, the first being in 2011 where according to the Examiner.com he brought together nearly 10,000 people in Reynolds’s Coliseum; but in notable contrast the presidents planned stop this time will be at the much smaller venue of the Tennis Center on Varsity Drive, across from Doak Field at 1:00 pm.

The protest itself will be centered on the massive failures of Obamacare and that President Obama and his cronies, such as Senator Hagan, lied to the American people so that they could pass Obamacare, according to Donald Bryson in NC Renegade.   It is also worth noting that Senator Kay Hagan(D) NC who is facing a tough re-election bid this year, will not be attending Obama’s speech.  Senators and representatives from the same party as the President generally attend White House events in their home state or district, according to CNN Politics.

At this point in time it is a profound statement to say that as of yet, no one has enrolled in Obamacare. While the White House claims that roughly 2.1 million Americans have enrolled in Obamacare, TheBlaze and others have noted on numerous occasions that there is no payment option available for anyone to actually ‘pay into’ the HealthCare.gov website and actually enroll.   Simply put, if you cannot pay, you cannot enroll.  So then, it appears that only a fraction of the people needed to make the program successful have ‘signed up’ for Obamacare but none have actually enrolled.  The obvious question then becomes, why would the government design a healthcare website that makes it impossible to enroll?  After all three 20-year olds were able to get a working healthcare website up and running in just 2 weeks that indeed included a workable payment option!  According to CBS News, with a few late nights, Ning Liang, George Kalogeropoulos and Michael Wasser built “thehealthsherpa.com,” a two-week-old website that solves one of the biggest problems with the government’s site.

“They got it completely backwards in terms of what people want up front,” said Liang.

No truer statement could reflect the sentiments of the American people right now regarding Obamacare.

With no way to enroll, millions of Americans left uninsured and in the dark regarding their future health insurance status, not to mention facing exorbitantly higher premiums or penalties and absolutely no security whatsoever on the HealthCare.gov website, it’s no wonder a protest is underway.  People are beginning to realize they have to try and do something to get the attention of the person who sold the American people on the extraordinary benefits of this program when in reality it is at a place that is quite the polar opposite of what was promised.

So on Wednesday afternoon in Raleigh, North Carolina one of our five fundamental freedoms put in place by our Founding Fathers will be exercised; the First Amendment right to peacefully assemble to bring public attention to the political and personal injustice that is Obamacare.
