Friday the 13th Islamic Terrorist Attack on U.S. Soil Foiled
On Friday in Wichita Kansas the FBI thwarted yet another planned terrorist attack on American soil. This time a 58-year-old avionics employee planned for months to carry out a bombing at a time of day that would cause the most casualties and carnage. In a letter Terry Lee Loewen wrote and left for a family member he stated that by the time the letter was received, if everything went as planned he would have been ‘martyred in the path of Allah.’
Loewen isn’t the first American to convert to Islam and decide that ‘jihad is the way.’ We may never know what goes on in the mind of would be terrorists like Loewen, that would cause them to convert to Islam and choose to become suicide bombers, only that it is evil of the highest magnitude. According to an interview with Loewen’s ex-wife their 24-year-old son told her his father had recently converted to Islam, which surprised her. However, to the under cover FBI agent who Loewen thought was going to be his partner in the terrorist attack Loewen had decided it was his ‘duty’ as a follower of Islam to carry out a suicide mission.
Loewen was an admirer of Osama Bin Laden and Anwar al-Awlaki, former head of an al-Qaeda linked terror group in Yemen responsible for the recruitment of terrorists and the online jihadist magazine ‘Inspire.’ It is reported that Boston Marathon terrorist Tamerlan Tsarnaev was a follower of the terrorist magazine ‘Inspire.’
In FBI recorded conversations Loewen stated: “I have been studying subjects like jihad, martyrdom operations, and Sharia Law. I don’t understand how you can read the Qu’ran and the Sunnah of the Prophet and not understand that jihad and the implementation of Sharia is absolutely demanded of all the Muslim Ummah.”
Very little has been reported in the mainstream media about this latest in an ever-growing list of thwarted attacks. I am thankful for the diligence and hard work of our FBI, yet it is disappointing but not surprising this is not considered a top news story. Perhaps it is because for some 911 is now a distant memory, horrific as it was, one they don’t like to be reminded of. Some were not born or were very young and shielded from the horror of that time in our history. However the truth is the same ideology, not a religion, in the name of Islam and Allah is responsible for countless attacks and murders worldwide since the days of Muhammad.
Who but the politically correct and willfully uniformed believe that any other group in modern times is more intolerant than Islam? Progressives are eerily silent and protective of the theocracy that tortures and kills innocent people in the name of Allah. Some may prefer to believe that inhumane treatment of women is isolated, and that most women choose submission rather than the fact they are not permitted to leave home without a male companion, or that many wearing the hijab or burka is not a requirement but a choice. Female genital mutilation is the norm in some Islamic countries. So where is the outrage from our modern day feminists? How can they be more concerned about a women’s right to birth control than acid being thrown in the face of women causing death or life long disfigurement? What about the basic human rights of women born into Islam and can not escape? Where is the outrage from a civilized society about the women who are stoned to death for being found guilty of adultery (often unfounded), or who are victims of honor killings for simply looking or dressing ‘western,’ or for wishing to date a non-Muslim male? Where is the outrage that in America there are Islamists infiltrating the highest levels of our government and military? During the Holy Land Foundation Trial it was proven funding for jihad is being supported by mosques in America. Additionally it has been proven that radicalism is taught by Imams in mosques across America.
After this latest plot on Friday to commit terror on innocent Americans, we were again told by authorities to not condemn any ‘religious’ group. It seems the only people who aren’t denying that Islamists are terrorizing the globe, are the Islamists themselves.
While in the name of Tolerance and Political Correctness, world leaders deny ‘in your face’ evidence as Islamists continue to kill in the name of Allah. We’ve witnessed airliners being blown out of the sky and flown into buildings, the bombings of buses, trains, embassies, hotels, marine barracks, churches, synagogues, markets, and ships to name a few. We have witnessed entire Christian communities wiped out, innocent victims beheaded, tortured, and burned to death. We witnessed the Ft. Hood terror attack where Soldiers and Military employees were slaughtered in the name of Allah. We witnessed the attack on Soldiers outside the Little Rock Air Force Base resulting in the death of one and injury of another. We routinely hear of Afghan forces betraying and killing our American troops.
Those who were flying in and out of the Wichita airport Friday morning can thank God for America’s excellent Intelligence agencies–but somewhere in America tonight other evil jihadists are planning an attack on innocent people. What will it take for America to stand together against this evil?
