Surprise, Surprise–Obama Lied
Obama misled the American people about the new healthcare plan – and to people on the Left, that is almost inconceivable. Of course, those of us on the Right have known since the inception of the plan that the White House was striving hard to sell us a bogus bill of goods. But then again, this administration has spun so many webs of lies that it cannot say with any certainty which way is up…
In February 2010, Obama said people could keep their plan if they desired and it would be grandfathered in. 4 months later a memo came out that said plans would be terminated if they didn’t meet the government criteria—meaning plans having even the minutest changes in them had to be cancelled. The insurance companies were forced to change to accommodate the law, thus forcing the companies to drop their insured. In selling his socialist healthcare plan (aka ‘tax’), Obama said we could keep our insurance plans, saying they would be grandfathered in and also prices would go down.
Translation: Obama lied.
Millions of individuals stand lose their insurance under the healthcare plan; again, no surprise there to the vast majority of us, but apparently a huge shock for Obama’s fans. Apparently “reform” means that now seniors will be forced to pay for contraceptives and pregnancy tests when they only need a urine test. Premiums and deductibles are increasing in astronomical amounts, casting a justifiable fear of the future for millions of Americans.
Thankfully, the public is (finally) starting to wise up to the lies and, better yet, a liberal news media outlet recently stepped outside the ranks and actually reported the truth– that the White House knew as far back as 2010 that people weren’t going to be able to keep their own insurance plans. In addition to the Obama administration and the media, uninformed Limousine Liberals and bobble-headed union members need to be held accountable for this; you wanted it–now you got it.
Meanwhile, people all across the country are receiving daily notifications that their policy will be cancelled because it doesn’t meet the ACA plan. Perhaps now the liberal media will turn tail and run away. Forget the egg on their faces; they are just trying to save their face in a pitiful attempt to do their jobs. Unfortunately it’s too little, too late. Of course even the uninforned should have known not to trust the health care of 300 million people to the same government which brought us perennial failed departments like the DMV and the US Post Office, both which zaps millions in taxpayer dollars annually. Not to mention the fact that they can’t even run the website that manages the ACA plan….
Personally, I’d rather let people compete for my business. Competition always beats unmotivated beaurocrats with no management or skin in the game. Meanwhile, Alaska has given up on the sign up as few people are responding, and many Senators are now putting forth bills to delay Obamacare. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) is proposing a bill to delay Obamacare, and many of his fellow Democrats are leaning toward that end, too.
Kathlene Sebeilius is saying the website doesn’t work because of (wait for it…) Republicans. Of course.
