Tune Out The (Hypocritical, Bullying) Libs

There are days when I literally beg God to send Andrew Breitbart back to Earth! Hearing NPR‘s Cokie Roberts recently blabbering on about the ‘racist’ Tea Party was nauseating. On The Five, the hosts discussed Cokie’s comment and asked, “Isn’t this getting old yet?” Yes, it is and how much longer do we have to hear these ridiculous accusations? On Morning Joe on MSNBC, Roberts was talking about Obama’s job approval ratings going down and Hillary Clinton running for president. Roberts said, “I also think, you know, just calling it, that some of this tea party anger is racist, and that having a non-black person on the ticket will diffuse it to some degree.” Host Joe Scarborough disagreed, pointing out that Bill Clinton faced ‘irrational’ anger from some conservatives during his presidency. Scarborough said, “[T]here is nothing I have heard said about Barack Obama that we [Clinton protestors] didn’t take about 10 degrees further.”
As if that wasn’t enough, Roberts had to feed the typical ‘redneck’ stereotype by saying, “Having grown up in the Deep South I’m always aware of those words that are there that are just different when you’re talking about someone of a different race.”
This Southern born gal wants you both to shut up already!
Remember when Nancy Pelosi staged her ‘I’m a Civil Rights Leader’ deal by marching the Congressional Black Caucus through a group of ticked-off protestors? They claimed that the ‘n’ word had been hurled at them some 15 times! Breitbart offered $100k to anyone who could provide proof of any racism, yet no audio or video was ever found. Sure, I have to write the obligatory, “There are fringe elements in all groups” stuff, but to be honest, I’ve never seen it in person. I’ve seen photos of people with derogatory signs, along with the story of how they were asked (and sometimes forced) by other protestors to leave the event. Obviously, racists are out there in the world, but the constant allegations of racism are ridiculous.
Bottom line: You are simply not allowed to disagree with this president based solely on the fact that he is black. If you do, you will be called names.
Also on The Five, Dana Perino asked about all the people with ‘Bush Derangement Syndrome‘! Ah, yes, remember them? They were a bitter, nasty bunch and their depictions of President Bush were very violent. Can you imagine if the Tea Party burned a President Obama dummy? Look what happened to a rodeo clown for simply wearing an Obama mask. Years earlier when it was a Bush mask at a rodeo (several actually), no one made a peep! Serious double standards and this is just as unreasonable as branding all people against same-sex marriage as homophobes.
Many Conservatives have dedicated themselves to important issues of the day like Common Core or gun rights. Heck, right now, we’re busy trying to figure out exactly who the Tea Party is! Many in our own Republican Party are calling the Tea Party ‘fringe’! But, we all have to focus on is getting our people into office come November. Unless we concentrate on putting the odds in our favor, all the work we do on individual issues will be undone. Since we have a Teflon-coated administration (Benghazi, IRS scandal, Fast and Furious), this is particularly important. There is simply no way to get this corrupt and dangerous man out of office at this point. Frankly, I’m surprised he hasn’t tried to work around the 22nd Amendment.
Liberals will keep pushing the racist narrative partially because it fits into their beliefs about Conservatives and partially because they know it works. We have tried reasoning, fighting and, in Breitbart’s case, offering cold, hard cash. They know it ticks us off, throws us into fits of anger and pulls us off course. The only solution for now is ignore it and take a page out of Andrew Breitbart’s playbook…laugh! Like Greg Gutfeld told the panel on The Five, there’s a reason Cokie Roberts is known as ‘Kooky’ Roberts. Happiness is a choice.
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. ~Galatians 5:13
