On Friday, the House voted victoriously to defund Obamacare via the Continuing Resolution. I am so proud to say that Congressman Tom Graves from my State of Georgia authored the Resolution in the House, and Congressman Doug Collins who represents me in the 9th District signed also. And so, a resounding YES, Nancy, it was definitely intentional. It wasn’t a “wolf in wolf’s clothing” as you so ineptly put it, but it was intentional. In fact, We the People have been diligently working day and night to get rid of Obamacare ever since you and your midnight-surprise cronies forced it upon us. Just FYI, Nancy, it is the responsibility of the House to determine what gets funded and what does not. This is a grand part of the checks and balances that our Founding Fathers set in place to save us from things such as Obamacare.
Pelosi’s remark that we are “harming children” is insulting to doctors and to Americans in general. America is an affluent nation, and Americans are the most benevolent people on earth, which is why we are called upon anytime there is a disaster in the world. American doctors and dentists voluntarily take their practices to dark places around the world, and they treat people who would otherwise never in their lives see a doctor of any kind. These doctors, nurses, and their staffs not only go, but they pay their own way, donate their services, and often fly patients to America for more extensive treatment– again, at no charge to the patient. Furthermore, when the government leaves it to We the People, we also come to the aid of our own families, friends, and neighbors who have special needs.
Also contrary to Pelosi’s remarks, defunding (and repealing) Obamacare is the best thing we can do for our children because it will allow parents to work full-time jobs again. When employers are released from the unaffordable, unconstitutional, stranglehold of Obamacare insurance requirements, business and commerce will flourish creating more jobs, more people will go back to work, others will get better jobs, the cycle will continue, and life will be better for everybody.
As for Harry Reid, when he knew that his goose was cooked by the impending House vote, he released a brash “scare” statement pronouncing the bill “dead” and saying that it was a “waste of time.” Harry, surely this is too much for you to bear; please go sit down and rest.
