While Navy Mourns, Celeb Winkler Promotes Anti-Gun Agenda (Aaayyy Fonzie–Shut Up!)

At 9:50 a.m. Eastern Time, while the active shooter incident was still unfolding at the Naval Sea Yard in Washington D.C, Henry Winkler (aka The Fonz) tweeted, “ANOTHER shooting in WASH D.C. PLEASE America do nothing to promote gun control. because thats (sic) how we roll until we have all shot each other”.
Left Coast Winkler, with no facts other than what he is hearing on the news, is making an assumption that gun control measures could have stopped this horrific event from happening. He is just one more Leftist gun control advocate jumping to conclusions with no basis to back up their thoughts or reasons, spouting rhetoric that gun control activists will jump on as fact. This is yet another case in which a “celebrity” is using his name to promote something he knows nothing about.
If you want to talk about what could have prevented this, or in the least lessened the shooting, passing through a metal detector before entering the complex might have helped. Sure, metal detectors are expensive as is the manpower to support them. But, what price for one life? What if the military personnel who worked in the building had been allowed to be armed?
And to take it a step farther, what about trained civilians being armed? Why do we have to wait until something deadly happens before considering pro-active measures? Have we learned nothing from prior incidents such as the Ft. Hood shooting?
It is my firm belief that anyone with the intent to commit random murders would think twice before entering any area where he knew people were potentially armed—especially if he doesn’t know which people are or aren’t carrying.
Gun control will not prevent gun violence. Remember prohibition? What about drugs being illegal? Criminals will find ways to get guns, or for that matter anything else they want.
Instead of listening to old celebrities campaigning to take our guns away, we need to campaign for the majority of good, decent citizens to remain armed. We need to campaign for the 2nd amendment, which states,” A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”.
We need to campaign for freedom.
