As the years have passed and I see this all through the haze of memory, I also see a few more images that give me some other feelings…

The thought that I will never take this country or our safety for granted. Never again.

And part of me needs to hold on to the fear that I had going to bed that night. We need to not let it get to where we’re immune to these images making us feel something. Whether it’s sick, sorrowful, mad…we need to feel it.

As a mom who has always been interested in politics, religion and all of the taboo subjects, she has always had a lot to say about the state of the nation. When she realized the Common Core Standards were not only bad news for children but a government coup over education, she decided to fight back and is now considered one of the nation's leading experts on all-things-Common Core.
