In anticipation of oppressive requirements of Obamacare, in the months preceding Obama’s Presidency many businesses reduced their workforce by letting some employees go and reducing others to part-time hours. As a result, the 40-hour workweek has been virtually gutted, and it is getting worse. Less than half of working Americans have full-time jobs; no careers are built and businesses cannot thrive on part-time work.
President Obama promised that everybody would be able to keep their health insurance, but Obamacare’s major insurance regulations are causing sharp rises in health insurance premiums, and increasing numbers of people are unable to afford their insurance. Those of who pay their own premiums are also feeling the pain; my own healthcare premium rose 900% at once in January of this year.
The IRS is being used as the enforcement agency to hunt down and punish those who do not purchase health insurance. The precious personal and private relationship between doctor and patient is being destroyed. Our private medical records now are required to be filed online with the government. Many private hospitals are being closed. We are losing doctors and soon there will be a shortage of doctors. The list of negatives goes on and on. I would venture to say that Obamacare is the single-most detrimental thing to America, the American economy, our way of life, and the wellbeing of the American family. Obamacare certainly impedes our freedom and privacy.
How about this from Alliance Defense Fund: “Did you know that with ObamaCare you will have to pay for life-saving drugs, but life-ending drugs are free. One hundred percent free. If this plan were really about health care wouldn’t it be the other way around.”
The Unions no longer want Obamacare, many states have opted out, and even Congress is running from it.
The President has once again taken the law into his own hands by deciding to lift the requirement of employers to provide health insurance to employees (of course this move is intended to aid the mid-term elections in 2014); however, he did not see fit to lift the requirement of all Americans to purchase insurance. He hopes to force us to turn to the government for our health insurance because we will not be able to afford private health care insurance premiums.
Fellow Patriots, there is one chance for us to stop Obamacare. In September the House can vote to totally defund Obamacare, and that must be done. Senator Ted Cruz and Mike Lee lead the charge, and they are our warriors, but they must have our active participation to accomplish this.
Our Congressmen will be home this summer, and it is imperative that we meet with them to encourage them to rise up against Obamacare, to defund it, and to repeal it. We do not want it rewritten or re-addressed.
Tell your Senators to stand with Senators Cruz and Lee; this may well be our last opportunity to redeem America.
