The Cleansing

It would appear that Progressive Democrats have historically had the notion that cleansings are in order when it suits their agenda. When Margaret Sanger created what is now Planned Parenthood, it was for the sole purpose of eugenics and embraced Malthusian eugenics—‘cleansing’ the world of unwanted/unneeded children.
Thomas Robert Malthus, a 19th-century cleric and professor of political economy, believed in a “population time bomb” that threatened the existence of the human race:
“All children born, beyond what would be required to keep up the population to a desired level, must necessarily perish, unless room is made for them by the deaths of grown persons. We should facilitate, instead of foolishly and vainly endeavoring to impede, the operations of nature in producing this mortality.”
Even liberal Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg stated in an interview in 2009 with the New York Times: “Frankly I thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of. So that Roe was going to be set up for Medicaid funding abortions.”
Recently the Obama administration was asked what their stance was regarding the continued ‘cleansing’ of the Coptic Christians in Egypt. Basically, Obama had no stance, instead mentioning some vague notion that the Muslim Brotherhood “should be able to peaceably protest”. (Last time I checked, murdering innocent people–including children–does not constitute a “peaceable protest”…)
Even in today’s press briefing Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest made light of the attacks on Coptic Christians in Egypt, joking in response to a question posed to him by Ed Henry of Fox News. When Henry questioned if the “red line” was again crossed, Earnest answered, “Well I didn’t bring out my red pen today.” Islamists have attacked almost 100 churches, monasteries, and orphanages, and many Christians’ shops and homes have also been looted and burned by mobs. To simply come to a press briefing and tout “outrage” appears to have no effect on Assad. At this rate the “cleansing” of Christians by the Islamic movement will be finished by the time Obama decides another line has been crossed.
Make no mistake: President Obama is a savvy politician. Just like Bill Clinton, who did nothing to thwart further attacks by Al Qaeda that lead to 9/11, Democrats would always prefer to take the position of inaction instead of action. After Assad used chemical weapons on the Syrian people, Obama chose to do nothing, using the analogy of President Bush’s decision to invade Iraq based on WMD’s. (It is interesting to note that it’s been reported that an emergency council meeting was held in the UN in wake of the latest chemical attacks in Syria and our new UN Ambassador, Samantha Power, was a no show.)
Although Christians in America aren’t being murdered as they are in Egypt, Progressives are consistently trying to ‘cleanse’ the Christian faith. Prayer is being attacked on every level; ACLU lawsuits by atheist are constant, and even the media is complicit in comparing Christians to evil incarnate. It is art when we see a crucifix sitting in a jar of human urine by liberals, but it’s unacceptable to have Nativity scenes during Christmas. Don’t dare burn a Quran or ridicule Mohammed in a video—but do whatever you want with a Bible and Jesus.
On a personal level, I truly feel we are witnessing the fulfillment of the Bible. People of faith throughout the world will continue to be attacked, and if we ever hope to defeat this war on Christians, it is incumbent upon all believers to keep our faith intact and come together in prayer and support. Like Margaret Sanger before them, the Islamists and Progressives and anarchists are working triple time to cleanse away the “unwanted”. They are trying to eliminate anyone and everyone who does not align with their ideology of a perfect race. And for Christians throughout the world, we are the unwanted–and we are in for the battle of our lifetime.
