Obama’s Getaway Gang–Getting Away with Everything

DoubleStandardsPC1Reading the latest headlines, it just doesn’t seem to matter what this administration does (unless you’re a conservative who realizes our rights are being systematically removed). The double standards are astounding.  Imagine the media firestorm if Alec Baldwin, with his continuous racist rants, was a Republican!  He wouldn’t stand a chance and would have been fired from his credit card gig long ago.  Meanwhile, many on the Right remain complacent and uninvolved, reminding me of the example Glenn Beck uses about the frog in the pot. If you try to put a frog in boiling water, it jumps out; but if you slowly heat it up, you get boiled frog. Well guess what, folks? We’re boiling over!

My mother was a young girl living in Frankfurt, Germany during World War 2.  When I was growing up, she told me things that went way beyond what I was taught in school. Mother recalled how admired Hitler was when he promised to change the country for the better and how he did just that.  Before she was shipped off to Poland (and later, Russia) for her protection, she saw friends die and she saw Jews being stolen away. Many have recognized the similarities with today’s administration and how our rights being taken away. I often wonder if my mother would have seen this, but as a lifelong Democrat, I don’t think so. Whenever conservatives compare the actions of Hitler (or Lenin, Mussolini, etc.) to President Obama and his goons, liberals either argue the semantics of the politics (“No, Hitler was a fascist!”) or they laugh, claiming any comparison is ridiculous.

I contend that news of the newly released Insider Threat Program (developed in 2011 after the Manning/Wikileaks scandal) proves how far Obama will go to try and prevent his dirty tricks from being exposed. Bottom line, if you don’t play along, you can go to prison. Sounds Marxist to me, if we want to talk semantics.

“President Barack Obama has ordered federal employees to report suspicious actions of their colleagues based on behavioral profiling techniques that are not scientifically proven to work,” says McClatchy. “Federal employees and contractors are asked to pay particular attention to the lifestyles, attitudes and behaviors – like financial troubles, odd working hours or unexplained travel – of co-workers as a way to predict whether they might do “harm to the United States.”

Managers of special insider threat offices will have “regular, timely, and, if possible, electronic, access” to employees’ personnel, payroll, disciplinary and “personal contact” files, as well as records of their use of classified and unclassified computer networks, polygraph results, travel reports and financial disclosure forms.” They add, “Those who fail to report them could face penalties, including criminal charges.”

Agencies that aren’t even involved in national security, like the Department of Education and the Peace Corps, are covered by this intrusive program! It certainly didn’t stop Edward Snowden from releasing NSA info.  Typical of the administration, their responses to questions by McClatchy were basically ignored.

“The White House, the Justice Department, the Peace Corps and the departments of Health and Human Services, Homeland Security and Education refused to answer questions about the program’s implementation. Instead, they issued virtually identical email statements directing inquiries to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, declined to comment or didn’t respond.”

They went so far as to refuse requests by McClatchy for non-classified documents.

It seems that even when the dirty dealings of the Obama administration get exposed (or partially exposed), there are no consequences. The liberal vs. conservative hypocrite machine works fast and doesn’t care that everyone can see their bias. How many of these incidents or events would have had different conclusions if the responsibility (or ability to change it) had been on a conservative? How many are seriously questionable? Even if you discard any comparisons to Nazi Germany, you’re left with an astounding amount of events that should have caused, at the very least, mass outrage, impeachments, firings and general head rolling:

  • Benghazi
  • Fast and Furious
  • IRS scandal
  • Michael Hasting’s car ‘accident’
  • AP/FOX/CBS News spying
  • SEAL Team IV helicopter crash
  • Common Core
  • NSA spying
  • Threat and implementation of Executive Orders
  • Ignoring legal Freedom of Information Act requests
  • Policy implemented on bogus ‘climate change’
  • A mysteriously overstocked Department of Homeland Security

Unfortunately, I could continue with this list until it reached the sun. Republican lawmaker’s have made serious errors as well, but you’d think Obama voters would have expected more from their ‘transparent’ guy.  Instead, they don’t seem bothered that the transparency promise went out the window and it’s difficult to contemplate why they are comfortable with so many unanswered questions.  At this point, I’m starting to believe that if Obama had popular, rightwing pundits jailed for expressing their political beliefs, his followers would celebrate.

The Insider Threat Program just adds to the secretive, Stasi-type atmosphere that’s making conservatives nervous. In fact, one of the people concerned with the program, Eric Feldman, a former inspector general of the National Reconnaissance Office, says just that:  “The answer to it is not to have a Stasi-like response. You’ve removed that firewall between employees seeking help and the threat that any employee who seeks help could be immediately retaliated against by this insider threat office.”

Once again, conservatives have to sit back and watch their country go to hell with liberal escorts. Is there anything that will motivate the Left to draw a line in the sand? Will they deem anything as ‘going too far’–spying, forcing us to spy, ignoring federal law, leaving innocent Americans to die in foreign countries…anything?

Many people already believe that the elections are unfair or even rigged, so are we doing anything to change this in 2014? Arguing with liberals is a complete waste of our time so we must engage with inactive conservatives and continue to support and motivate the patriots who are already in the fight. If we don’t learn to organize better, get the truth out there and recruit those uninvolved conservatives, America won’t even resemble the country the Founder’s created, the America we love.

The line between fascism and Fabian socialism is very thin. Fabian socialism is the dream. Fascism is Fabian socialism plus the inevitable dictator. John T. Flynn
