Liberal Hypocrisy Of the Left: Justice is Not Blind

It didn’t take long for the left to come out and speak out about the jury’s not guilty decision in the trial of George Zimmerman. Sunday morning, Harry Reid appeared on Meet the Press this morning, and of course the question of the verdict came up, and with it the talk of a “Racial Wound”.  When asked if Obama has a role in speaking about it as he did after the shooting, Harry replied, “I think the Justice Department’s going to take a look at this. You know, this isn’t over with, and I think that’s good, that’s our system. It’s gotten better, not worse.”

The fact is that the system worked in this case, in spite of the politics and race baiting tactics which brought this to trial in the first place.  This never should have come to trial, but because Treyvon looked like Obama’s son, if he’d had one, and the black panthers, the Rev’s Al and Jesse, and the DOJ under Eric  “This Department of Justice does not enforce the law in a race-conscious way.” Holder all made this about two things- guns and race.

This happened at a time when the Anti-2nd Amendment arguments were heating up in Washington. Chuck Schumer (D) New York even wrote the Justice Department asking them to expand their review of Martin’s death to include the impact of Florida’s and other states “Stand Your Ground” Laws.  Since when can a Senator from one state have any say in what laws another state has?  Florida’s stand your ground law has been on the books since 2005. The fact remains that people have a right to defend themselves against threats.

The jurors looked at and heard all evidence and came to the same conclusion that the Chief of Police had come to, that George Zimmerman was not guilty. The only part race played throughout this whole ordeal was from those on the left, those who wanted to make this a white on black crime.  The media has played this part impeccably while ignoring the whole time of black on white, black on black crime, and have worked well for Obama and his administration taking the focus off of larger issues such as Benghazi, the Muslim Brotherhood, Fast and Furious and numerous other scandals.

The Department of Justice may try and charge Zimmerman with a federal hate crime even though the FBI has concluded there was no racial bias, or try him in a civil case, which would be as already with the AG, a mockery of the US and Florida State Justice systems.  People like Al Sharpton will be around as long as there is an opportunity to ride on the coat tails of tragedy in order to boost his show ratings or make money. There will always be people willing to exploit families and individuals for political gain or for personal vendetta, and the hypocrisy of the liberals is always going to shine the brightest when these kinds of tragedies happen.

People like these throw the words racist, hate and bigot around, yet it is often these same people who spew racist, hateful and bigoted remarks to others.  It’s interesting that on Facebook, the social network shut down an incredibly popular group, from the Blog Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children, not once, but twice, for what was claimed to be issues including hate speech and nudity, even though there was no evidence to back these claims up.  No, this most popular of Facebook groups wasn’t shut down for anything more than being patriotic Americans and Military folks who love our Nation and some liberals couldn’t tolerate it. Yet groups like “Kill George Zimmerman *itch azz”  are still up and running.

These are not isolated either, although it made news because of USMC’s popularity, and because of Zimmerman’s case.  These issues have been going on for quite a while, between pro-Israeli groups being shut down or censored while pro-palestinian sites being allowed to remain while calling for jihad and fatwas against Jews. They have been going on between Christian pro-life sites and pro-abortion sites as well.  It’s not only Facebook, but also Twitter.  I have had many friends who while get passionate in some of their tweets, have never made threats, remain civil and are tweeting serious issues, yet are suspended, or what we call thrown into the gulag.  I had one of my own accounts thrown into the gulag 2 days ago. Why? Because I retweeted a couple of awesome PolitiChicks article links. At least that’s what I’m assuming, because I was never told why.  I was in the process of retweeting Frank Gaffney’s article, when the suspension occurred and twitter blocked me.  The suspended account I have is a political account with a name that doesn’t just involve me, but many excellent Patriotic Americans. When I tweet from there, I purposely keep the message polite, never provocative and while yes, I do retweet  articles, I never tweet the same things over and over again.  I am careful on that account because I don’t want the Constitutional Freedom Party name tarnished because of the other folks who are involved.

So while I and others are reduced to creating alternative twitter accounts there are thousands of tweets like these:

From New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, “Thoroughly confused. Zimmerman doesn’t last a year before the hood catches up to him.”

There was this gem, which even includes a photo of a young man saying, “Zimmerman we comin for yo life *itch”.

And this:

[email protected]   “Zimmerman fans: your hours are numbered before you are brought to your deluded racist senses by this jury”.

And then there are replies to tweets such as this:

Robert Zimmerman [email protected]   Message from Dad: “Our whole family is relieved”. “Today… I’m proud to be an American. God Bless America! Thank you for your prayers!”

I won’t include the replies here because of the language content.  The point is that these people’s accounts are still active; the people still free to exercise their freedom of speech, no matter how volatile or incendiary, but hundreds of concerned Americans who have different political and religious views are shut down or suspended weekly.

People have been talking a lot about justice lately during this whole trial, but it seems like the left has their own version of it, and it sure isn’t blind.
