Huge “Audit the IRS” Rally in DC This Week
There is going to be a HUGE rally in Washington, D.C. this week to demand an audit of the IRS. I’ll be there covering it for PolitiChicks.tv and will give you a report later this week.
In the spirit of what Becky Gerritson of Wetumpka Tea Party so elegantly said in her testimony before the House Ways and Means Committee:
“We are patriotic Americans. We peacefully assemble. We petition our government. We exercise our right to free speech and we don’t understand why our government tried to stop us. We aren’t here as serfs or vassals. We’re not begging our lords for mercy. We are born free American citizens and we’re telling our government that you’ve forgotten your place. It’s not your responsibility to look out for our wellbeing and monitor our speech. It’s not your right to assert an agenda. The post that you occupy exists to preserve American liberty. You’ve sworn to perform that duty and you have faltered.”
Our government may have faltered on its own responsibilities. But when duty calls, the American people have a long history of rising to the occasion. Needless to say, busloads of Patriots are heading to the capital on Wednesday, June 19th to peacefully assemble, to petition our government, and to exercise our right to free speech. Isn’t it time that Washington sees first-hand just how outraged the American people are by these discriminatory acts of the IRS? Isn’t it time to audit the IRS?
