The IRS Hidden Agenda: Intimidate Conservative Donors
Why did Lois Lerner and the IRS Commissioner, along with members of the White House staff decide to admit that they targeted Conservatives? What was the reason that a question was planted within the audience listening to Lerner that prompted that admission? I don’t think it was their way of getting the truth out before the upcoming Inspector General’s report. I think it was another orchestrated effort to intimidate conservative donors.
Think about it. This whole mess was concocted to delay conservative and religious groups from obtaining their tax-exempt status. There was a huge influx of applications pouring into the IRS after the passage of Obamacare. Conservatives were fired up and determined to organize and fight for what they believed was a bad bill passed in a brutal partisan way. Isn’t it odd that right after Obamacare was passed in March of 2010 and these requests started coming in, that Lois Lerner who was the director of the IRS Exempt Organizations Division oversaw the slowdown of approvals?
So what is really behind this slowdown? My opinion is that word came down from “somewhere” or “someone” that these conservative groups had to be shut down, silenced and intimidated at all cost. There was an election coming and they intended to squash the competition. It didn’t work in 2010, perhaps because they got a late start, but it ramped up full force in 2011 and 2012. After all, look at the bonuses that Lerner received. From 2010-2012 she took home $42,000 in bonuses on top of her salary. Over the four year period from 2009-2012, her annual salary and bonuses added up to $740,931! No wonder she is scheduled to take the Fifth Amendment when she is called to testify about this matter!
Lois Lerner did her job; slowed down, harassed and intimidated those “Tea Party” and “Patriot” groups, among others, that would have been an annoyance to the Democrat party and Obama. Those pesky conservatives needed to be silenced until Barak Obama was firmly re-seated for his second term.
It worked. Over 500 conservative groups either were delayed in receiving their tax-exempt status or they just gave up trying because of the invasive and intrusive scrutiny they were under. So, mission accomplished. In 2012, Obama was re-elected and the only thing the administration didn’t secure was the House of Representatives.
Now here we are in 2013 and another election is looming. This is the “Big Kahuna”. Obama needs the House in order to push through everything that the Republicans have held up. He needs to do whatever it takes to win and that is why I think this IRS “admission” came out.
Think about it. Ever since this scandal broke, conservatives have been coming forward with stories of how they were targeted and bullied. They tell stories of their small businesses being targeted, their personal returns being audited and the massive expense it took for them to defend themselves. Frank Vandersloot, a billionaire donor to Mitt Romney’s campaign was audited three times and smeared by the Obama Campaign. Others like high profile donor Sheldon Adelson were also targeted and harassed. Not to mention the Mom and Pop Americans who just want their voices heard.
So who would want to be subjected to treatment like this? Many conservative activists and patriots will think twice before they donate to anyone or any cause that might raise a red flag. Who is going to write a check to a pro-life candidate when that donation leads back to you? Who will support an organization to repeal Obamacare when that sends up a red flag? And that my friends is their strategy. Instill fear into anyone who would dare to support any opposition to this government. Make them believe that the IRS, the most feared department in government, will make their lives a living hell if they oppose Barak Obamas policies.
Intimidation works. We have seen it before in history, but I never thought I would see it in the United States. But then again, I never thought I would see one tenth of what I have seen just in 2013.
As for me; BRING IT ON! I intend to support every conservative I can, every organization that will put this country back on the right track, every cause that will secure our freedoms. Do you need my name, IRS? It is MORGAN BRITTANY and I know that there are millions more just like me.
