Obama: “There’s no ‘there’ there.” Clinton: “It depends on what the meaning of ‘is’ is.”

I am astonished by the brazen lies coming from the mouth of our commander-in-chief. I recently listened incredulously to his latest press conference on Benghazi. He is still propagating the pre-election lie that he called the terrorist attack in Benghazi a terrorist attack only “2-3 days later”. Really? Then why did he stand in front of the United Nations two weeks later and blame a video?
“That is what we saw play out in the last two weeks, as a crude and disgusting video sparked outrage throughout the Muslim world. Now I have made it clear that the United States government had nothing to do with this video, and I believe its message must be rejected by all who respect our common humanity.” (Pres. Obama speech to the United Nations General Assembly, September 25, 2012)
Obama referenced the video directly 5 times and indirectly numerous times. Yet now he has the audacity to blame Republicans for a creating a side show, and claiming” nobody understood exactly what was taking place during the course of those first few days”. Obama goes even further to conclude that “those so called talking points, that were prepared for Susan Rice, 5-6 days after the event occurred, pretty much matched the assessment that I was receiving at that time, in my presidential daily briefing.”
I personally have several problems with that statement. Obama previously claimed (during this same press briefing) that he called the attack a terrorist attack 2-3 days later, and yet in his next breath he says “nobody knew what had taken place” during the course of those first few days. In addition, Obama’s statement has been refuted under oath by Gregory Hicks, Mark Thompson and Eric Nordstrom, each who stated that everyone involved knew in real time that the attacks were perpetrated by terrorists. Within 24 hours, thanks to the President of Libya, they even knew that al Qaeda leader of the attack was Ansar Al Sharia.
We also now know that the talking points were edited 12 times. These edits were not created by the CIA as we were previously told but were instead created within the State Department at their behest. We also know that they were edited to completely scrub any mention of terrorists or al Qaida. So if Susan Rice’s talking points “pretty much matched” what the president was receiving in his daily briefings, then we have an even bigger problem than just a cover-up. It means the President is either too incompetent to be entrusted with accurate briefings, he is too ignorant to comprehend them or he is too lazy to actually read them. At any point, it is not good news for America.
In my personal opinion I do not believe Obama is ignorant or incompetent, I believe he is a manipulative and skilled liar, not unlike Bill Clinton. In Clinton’s explanation to the Grand Jury about his lie concerning Monica Lewinsky he said, “It depends on what the meaning of the word is is”. Obama recently took a page from Clinton’s “Liar Book”, muddying the waters with insignificant drivel with his “There is no there there” statement. This type of obfuscation is expected from high school teenagers; it is completely unacceptable and egregious behavior coming from Presidents of our great nation. We must hold them to a higher standard. I believe there is something there and we must uncover the cover-up.
