DC Scandals: Hell in a Handbasket…

handbasket1It’s confirmed. The country is going to hell in a handbasket strapped over the shoulder of the POTUS—or at least on the arm kept dry by the Marine holding an umbrella over his precious head during the White House news conference a few days ago.

How do liberal “progressives” even begin to justify and defend an administration that has so overreached into the private lives of its citizens? How does one justify lie after lie after lie? I can tell you what they’re saying:  Blame it on Bush. Blame it on the Republicans. Hell, blame it on global warming.  If all else fails, pull out the race card.

Just don’t ever, under any circumstance, assign blame at the feet of those responsible.

I read about the “scandals” and for every comment expressing disapproval of the POTUS, there is a troll that immediately pops in and says, “What about Bush?” Well, what about Bush? Has your president not had long enough to undo any “damaging” actions taken by the former President? You can’t defend this administration–so what do you do? You go on the attack. That, my friends, is a classic example of moral relativity.

So all right then—if you want to play, I’m right there with you.

I blame President Clinton and his wife.  Their lack of character, their lies, their manipulations, and their moral deficits are what has enabled this president to show his.  Yes, there has always been some form of scandal or indiscretion within every administration. Yes, there have always been wrong decisions made by every administration- whether it be a Republican or Democrat president. But, Clinton and his cronies took it to a whole new level. Why? Because he did not care what the American people thought. His wife did not care what the American people thought.

Now I am going to tell you, I wasn’t exactly having a love-fest with Bush by the end of his term. But, I’ll tell you what–for all of Bush’s faults, I never doubted his love for this country and its people, his patriotism, or his wish for all to achieve “The American Dream”.  I have never said this publicly, but I don’t think this president has a patriotic bone in his body. Almost every decision he makes is completely inexplicable to me. Why? Because he does not care about the American people nor the rights of its citizens. For these jerks up in Washington to target pro-life groups, right-wing political groups, and religious groups seeking tax-exempt status because they don’t fit into the POTUS’s agenda for increasingly, systematically controlling the citizens of this country, and yes, to win an election, makes me want to hurl.  I can’t even begin to imagine the hubris one must possess to flagrantly lie to the American people, whether through omission or commission, and to continually  “pass the buck” onto underlings.

Obama apologists keep whining that the Republicans are marketing these scandals for political gain. But no, all you progressive liberals out there, it is not about politics or political gain.  It’s about the truth.  It’s not about “whose” truth, just the truth. Truth is not relative.

So, let me make this as simple and as clear as I can as to why so many Americans are outraged at the lack of leadership at the top:

  1. POTUS + “I don’t know” and/or “I didn’t know” = COVER-UP
  2. BENGHAZI + Lies = COVER-UP
  3. IRS + Overreach = COVER-UP (Side note: Why exactly is it the IRS’s  business to know what is said in prayers and what does that have to do with a tax exempt status?)
  4. DOJ + Wiretapping = COVERUP (Side note: Eric Holder, how do you lose two terrorists? Really?)

Can we expect more and more scandals and more and more cover-ups over the next four years?  Absolutely. Lies, manipulations, and cover-ups are going to be par for the course for Obama to bring this country to its knees—unless and until he is held accountable.
