CHARLES RAMSEY: “I AM A CHRISTIAN AND AN AMERICAN” By BurkaChick

As BurkaChick, the usual loud mouth liberal, I am speechless. Charles Ramsey has become an Internet sensation. He obviously broke the liberal rule of “doing your own thing” and “to each his own” when he answered the cries of Amanda Berry. He broke down the door and called the authorities to help the missing victims without hesitation. When confronted by Anderson Cooper asking if he was a hero, he replied: “I am a Christian and an American”. When asked if he wanted the reward, he requested to have it given to the victims.
But sshhh—that interview must be ignored. We liberals will prefer to have the comical version he gave of his experience. That version is well over two million now and growing and that is how we want Charles Ramsey to be seen. Then we want to remix it with a song to really spice it up and divert attention away from his humanity.
Community, compassion and Christ is our liberal triple threat. His brave heroism will be clouded by his comical comments. His humorous remarks about color and McDonald’s will be viewed by millions and his words of Christianity will be diminished. We will feel no shame in minimizing and commercializing what Charles Ramsey did. Only be entertained by in the manor of how he spoke about it. But in his world and the world of all Christians, Christ will applaud Charles Ramsey and he will be noticed for his “doing the right thing”. And in our liberal “what’s in it for me” world, righteousness can only hope that all of us liberals could be as speechless as me.
