The Real WORLD WAR On Women

Beginning with the 2012 elections and continuing today, progressives everywhere have proclaimed that Republicans not only hate women, but that they have also waged a war against them. Led by mega Progressive George Soros’ MoveOn.org, many (low information) voters claim our “hatred of women” as one of the main reasons they voted for Barack Obama. From the website StopTheWarOnWomen.com:
The campaign to Stop the War on Women needs your voice. Tell Republicans no.
- No to taking away the rights and freedoms of American women.
- No to threatening the health of millions of women and their families.
- No to sneak attacks on women’s right to choose.
UPDATE: House Republicans have set their sights on Planned Parenthood. Congressman Cliff Stearns (R – FL), chair of a House oversight subcommittee, has launched a far-reaching investigation against one of the most important providers of health care for American women — Planned Parenthood. We’ve got to stop this witch hunt today.
Make no mistake—the GOP “War on Women” is mostly about protecting Planned Parenthood and the Left’s fears that their Abortion Machine will someday lose its billions in government funding. It doesn’t matter that Planned Parenthood has been involved in scandals and corruption—including last year’s undercover videos, proving Planned Parenthood was willing and able to do late-term abortions based on sex selection, aka “Designer Babies”. Without even a slap on the wrist, the ‘non-profit’ org continues to rake in the government dough.
From Lila Rose at Daily Caller:
“Each year, Planned Parenthood receives hundreds of millions of dollars from you, the taxpayer — and the total is rising. This past year, Planned Parenthood got $542 million from the government (i.e., from you and me), which accounts for almost half (45%) of the abortion chain’s budget. Abortions at Planned Parenthood are rising, while other services are falling.”
And while Obama’s sequester cut hundreds of millions from our military, Special Education and Park Services, Planned Parenthood hasn’t lost a dime of its $542 million funding per year.
“Planned Parenthood is flush with cash,” Rose writes, “having reported excess revenue of $87.4 million and $1.2 billion in total assets last year. Cecile Richards, Planned Parenthood’s CEO, makes nearly $400,000 a year. And yet the biggest abortion provider in America somehow still calls itself a non-profit.”
StopTheWarOnWomen.com proclaims, “Republicans not only want to reduce women’s access to abortion care, they’re actually trying to redefine rape. After a major backlash, they promised to stop. But they haven’t yet. Shocker.”
(By the way, I love how they added the word “care” to “abortion”, as if abortion has anything to do with healthcare…but I digress.)
Because I’m sick to death of the whiney, shrill harpies on the Left claiming they are “victims” here in America, I wanted to give them a little reality check as to what a REAL “War on Women” is all about. And it has nothing to do with getting stupid free condoms.
Afghanistan was rated the “#1 Worst Place in the World” to be born a woman. (Sorry progressives, despite how victimized you feel by the evil GOP, America didn’t make the list…)
Although the war in Afghanistan removed the Taliban, according to RAWA.org the improvement for women is only limited to certain parts of the country.
“In other areas”, the website states, “the incidence of rape and forced marriage is on the rise again, and most women continue to wear the burqa out of fear for their safety.”
From NY Times:
“More than half of Afghan girls are still not in school, and, of those who are, few will stay long enough to graduate. Intimidation is commonplace; girls have been attacked and even doused with acid to be kept from attending school. It is not uncommon, especially in rural areas, for families to trade daughters into marriage or prostitution to settle debts. Women abused by their husbands or families too often end up in jail instead of their abusers.”
War on Women, The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)
Congo, the #2 “Worst Place to be born a Woman”, was called the “rape capital of the world” by the U.N. According to a U.S. study, more than 400,000 women are raped in Congo each year.
“Rights activists say militia groups and soldiers target all ages, including girls as young as three and elderly women,” the survey reports. “They are gang raped, raped with bayonets and some have guns shot into their vaginas.”
But yeah, American women have to fight the evil GOP to get their free pap smears from Planned Parenthood…
Within hours after the Obama administration cheered the ousting of former President Hosni Mubarak, CBS reporter Lara Logan was brutally gang raped in the streets of Cairo. There was an immediate whitewashing about what actually happened to her, with reports that Logan was simply “groped” and beaten. (Didn’t want to spoil Obama’s victory laps, right?) Later, Logan admitted that she had indeed been gang raped.
Years later, the public rapes continue to tarnish the image of the “kinder, gentler Muslim Brotherhood”, despite efforts by the MB’s (aided by the Obama administration’s Islamic PR machine). Of course, instead of trying to arrest the rapists like we do here in imperialistic America, the raped women of Egypt are being told it’s their fault for being out in public….
Police general Adel Abdel Maqsoud Afifi said, “Sometimes a girl contributes 100 percent to her own raping when she puts herself in these conditions.”
42-year old journalist Hania Moheeb recently spoke out about her rape, recounting in a television interview that a group of men surrounded her and other women. They were stripped and violated for over three hours. Another rape victim said no one came to her rescue because the men told people she had a bomb strapped to her abdomen.
The U.S. is (finally) taking action with Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) in the lead. As reported by Lydia Goodman of PolitiChicks.tv, Rep. Ros-Lehtinen and 18 sponsors introduced House Resolution 416, “a bill that would limit specific military and economic aid to Egypt if certain standards are not met by the current government.”
We’ll have to wait and see if the Obama administration does the right thing with this or not.
From 1971 to today, a “one child per family” rule has been strictly enforced in China. The Chinese government admitted that over the past 4 decades, 336 million babies have been aborted, some forcibly. If you’re unsure what “forcibly” means, a story from March 22 has been circulating out of China in which a woman was discovered by authorities to be 7 months pregnant. Apparently officials were “tipped off” that the woman and her husband already had their quota child–so they took the mother to the local hospital, injected her uterus with a potent chemical solution to induce the abortion and two days later their 7-month (dead) baby emerged. The father took a picture of the dead infant, which has been circulating all over the social networking world.
Supposedly China had banned late term abortions—but apparently this is a bendable rule when someone dares to get pregnant more than once.
(Progressives, is this really the direction you want Planned Parenthood to go in America?)
Unlike poor American women having to coming up with pocket change to pay for their own birth control, Pakistani woman have to deal with things like acid attacks, child and forced marriage and punishment or retribution by stoning or other physical abuse.
Divya Bajpai at the International HIV/Aids Alliance said, “Pakistan has some of the highest rates of dowry murder, so-called honor killings and early marriage.”
According to Pakistan’s human rights commission, as many as 1,000 women and girls die in honor killings annually.
These attacks, by the way, are double-edged swords for Pakistani women. Long after the physical pain is gone, the mental part lasts a lifetime. Physical attacks are usually inflicted on women for a reason—lying, cheating, and adultery–bringing “shame” to a family. So most women choose not to report their attacks to the corrupt police at all, and instead live the most miserable lives imaginable.
This list could go on and on—but let’s get back to America. Please.
Progressives, if you really care about women’s rights as you claim you do, look a little further than your own comfortable, safe bedrooms. Stop crying over having to come up with a few extra dollars to pay for your stupid birth control—and/or abortions, if you must. Instead, you should start shedding tears and use your vast activist skills for the women who are actually waging a real war, struggling just to stay alive and exist in the world—and while you’re at it, get your damned priorities in line.
