Joe, Joe, Joe…
Someone I know loves New York. She doesn’t go very often, but when she does, she never leaves without a trip to Chinatown. Don’t tell anyone, but she drools with rapturous delight as she purchases “knockoff” Prada purses, Burberry scarves, and Rolex watches. “Knockoff”, as in…fake. Not Real. Counterfeit.
Evidently, Joe Biden wouldn’t recognize a “knockoff” if he bumped into one.
“I get asked, like my colleagues, almost every day since 9/11, ‘Why? Why? Why?'” Biden said, speaking at a memorial service at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for slain MIT police officer Sean Collier.
Why? Why? Why?
I can’t believe he even has to ask the question, but I will answer it for him:
BECAUSE ISLAMIC JIHADISTS HATE AMERICA.
Then, Biden questioned the motives behind terror attacks against the United States.
“Whether it’s al-Qaida central out of the FATA [Federally Administered Tribal Areas] or two twisted, perverted, cowardly, knockoff jihadists here in Boston, why do they do what they do?”
Why do they do what they do?
BECAUSE ISLAMIC JIHADISTS HATE AMERICA.
The problem with Biden’s characterization of the “knockoff jihadists” is the word play he put into motion. What was his purpose in intentionally inserting “knockoff” into his description of the bombers? Was it to deflect and dodge continuing questions at to whether or not there were more involved in the terror heaped on Boston or if they were part of a larger terrorist organization?
Biden called the terrorists “craven, misguided, perverted apostles” who “misunderstood” the Islamic faith. He said they hated the U.S. for “our open society, our system of justice that guarantees freedom, and the access of every American to opportunity”.
News flash: These were not mislead, misguided “boys” who misunderstood anything. These were not “wanna-be” terrorists, as Biden implied. This was a well-planned, well-executed terrorist attack committed by well-educated, well-prepared men who were REAL JIHADIS and who would have killed more if they had had the opportunity. How many “infidels” does one have to murder to be considered a “real jihadi”? Ten? A hundred? A thousand?
Were the bombers “twisted, perverted, and cowardly” as Biden described? Absolutely.
Were they “knockoff Jihadists”? Heck, No.
If anything, Joe Biden should have called them “knockoff” Americans instead.
