Elephants for Sale

In light of Reince Priebus and the National Republican Committee’s recent announcement to reinvent itself (read “sell the GOP Conservative base down the river”), I have a six-pach-y-derm for sale—half off! I have elephant jewelry, stuffed animal elephants, crystal elephants, wood carved elephants, you name it.
But seriously, these are the actual elephants who make up the “six-pach” for sale and President Obama and the leftist media are buying: Reince Priebus, Karl Rove, Governor Christie, Senators Lindsey Graham and John McCain and House Speaker John Boehner. Yes, there are others.
After all, Speaker Boehner recently said that he fully trusts Obama, and he agrees with him, in that “we don’t have an immediate debt problem” (read “sell the GOP Conservative base down the river”).
In Boehner’s defense, he went on to say, “You can’t spend money that you don’t have.”
“When Republicans lost in November it was a wake-up call”, Priebus said Monday, adding, “We know that we have problems. We’ve identified them, and we’re implementing the solutions to fix them.” So they’re going to launch a $10 million dollar marketing campaign (read “sell the GOP Conservative base down the river”).
When they nominated Senator McCain as the presidential candidate in 2008, I said, “No way,” but along came Governor Sarah Palin, so I voted for Palin.
When they nominated Governor Mitt Romney, I sighed and relinquished because of the dire straits that our country is in.
As the old cliché goes, Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me—no more deception!
Unfortunately, after the last two elections, the GOP is continuing their tradition of making room for RINOS, so I’m done. I’ve changed my Republican voting status to an Independent and cancelled my membership in the National Federation of Republican Women. No more financial donations to the GOP. (I started that crusade several years ago.)
After the GOPs new marketing plan was revealed by Fox News, a small group of us on Facebook were talking about the idea of a third party. The idea is not new or novel, and it meets with much chagrin to some, but it does deserve recognition among the GOPs conservative ranks because the National GOP RINOS are hell-bent on taking us down the road to the Big Tent. I don’t want to go into the Big Tent. There are RINOS in there, and RINOS do not resemble elephants. No I won’t go; I won’t go into that Big Tent—and neither should you! We either keep the elephants—or they bring in RINOS. There is not enough room for both, I don’t care how big that Big Tent is.
As a side note, please read my article, Who Decided GOP is Red and Democrats Blue?
Message to Reince and the National Republican Committee:
Honor God and quit trying to buy votes and everything will fall correctly into place. God is all-powerful. He is sovereign. If you honor Him, He will honor you and thus all of us.
Right now you are floundering in the mud as RINOS and it’s not working. Get a clue or the GOP will cease to exist.
Why are you spending $10 million trying to reach immigrants and homosexuals when you already have a base large enough in numbers ready and willing to elect the next Conservative patriots?! Reach out instead to the millions of your GOP advocates who stayed home last year. If not, you’ll lose us. That’s not a threat; it’s a fact.
So come along and listen to, the victory of Conservatives. We’re very confident there are enough Conservative office holders and other Conservative groups who want no part of your Big Tent. Without us, your Big Tent will collapse, but maybe there are enough Democrats who’d like to be under that tent.
Maybe we all can do what both parties did in 1872—run a conservative (Ulysses S. Grant) and have the Democrats nominate a RINO (Horace Greeley). There was even the first liberal woman to run for president that year. Her name was Victoria Woodhull. In 2016, it could be Hillary Clinton. Maybe she could be your candidate. I understand she supports the same thing you do—homosexual marriage!
Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people (Proverbs 14:34).
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord (Psalm 33:12).
Get it? Evidently not.
