Last July, Conservative women and young ladies from across the country gathered in Dallas, Texas, donned in stilettos and evening gowns and with the U.S. Constitution nestled safely in their makeup cases. The reason: To compete in the first National Conservative U.S. Pageant.
The world of “beauty pageants” changed that summer day because in addition to rhinestones and tiaras, new and much needed additions were included: “God, Family, and Country”.
Five Conservative U.S. queens were crowned and the ladies have become national spokeswomen for the conservative movement. They have been trailblazing the country, helping to break the mold of a “typical pageant beauty queen”. This new pageant queen is modern yet grounded in traditional American beliefs, and she is proudly and unapologetically conservative.
Why this pageant? Many ask this question, not quite understanding how a “beauty pageant” could even begin to help the conservative movement.
The idea for this new and unique pageant system came to me on August of 2011, while I was relaxing on a beach. As I contemplated the realities for this historical age, I realized that with the Left at the helm, the U.S. is on an undeniable path of destruction. It is my sincere belief that we are being driven to perdition by those who wish to shred the very fabric of everything that makes the U.S.A. great – the power of her people. Our Constitution is being ignored and spat upon. It is not being upheld or protected by the very people who were elected and took an oath of office to do so. We are not being served and represented in this day as our Founding Fathers envisioned. Instead, our power as an electorate is being usurped at a breakneck pace.
Those of us within the pageant industry are vilified and discriminated against if it is discovered that our political views are conservative. I personally have been shunned, disparaged, yelled at, and even threatened only because I believe in limited government, expansive individual rights, life, and prosperity.
I’ve been discriminated in the pageant industry because I have read the United States Constitution and fully understand what it states.
I’ve been discriminated against in the pageant industry simply because the spirit of the Declaration of Independence lives within me.
I’ve been discriminated against because I firmly believe in the pledge, “One nation, under God”.
I’ve been discriminated against because I find tyranny to be abhorrent and intolerable.
In these circumstances, I’ve experienced my dreams being delayed simply because I embrace a political ideology that the masses within the pageant industry reject. I personally find that to be a sad condition for ones soul and spirit and to be vilified for my conservative beliefs is wrong, simple as that.
So as a competitor, coach, producer and director, I am now using the pageant industry to become visible and vocal for all of the issues that are important to my family, this country, and me.
From my harrowing experiences through the years, I feel I was divinely inspired to establish the Conservative U.S. Pageants system. My hope is that ladies of all persuasions will come together without fear of discrimination, or retribution, to let all that they are shine through. With Conservative U.S. Pageants, women and young women are free to themselves.
Every liberal out there, particularly in the pageant/modeling industry, are talking smack about this new system. They say that it will fail because conservatives won’t support it—so we must prove them wrong.
This past year has been a series of ups and downs for our nation, for all of us. We need this pageant system to be another shining example of conservatism, representing the beauty of who and what “conservatism” means.
Currently, Conservative U.S. Pageants will be holding nationwide “model searches” to give women and young women the opportunity to earn a state/regional/local title and then go on to represent that at the 2nd Annual Conservative U.S. Pageant this November 1st and 2nd in Orlando, Florida (location subject to contractual agreement with the venue). In addition to the chance to win a title in their division (Mrs., Ms., Miss, Teen), all participants will be seen by a modeling scout looking for those “it” gals.
We need the conservatives across the country to join together to help make this system a success because beauty goes far deeper than the visage of a gorgeous woman; beauty lies within. We are conservatives, the most beautiful women on the planet because we shine from within.
The pageant’s website is www.conservativeuspageants.com. Please visit the site, “like” it, share it with everyone you know – male and female. Also, visit the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ConservativeUsPageant and “like” and share that as well.
And if you are a conservative woman, consider either becoming a state queen by signing up for one of the “model searches”, becoming a sponsor (prizes for the newly crowned national queens or cash sponsorship to assist in production costs), and/or attending the national pageant to cheer the ladies on!
Now, let’s celebrate that undeniable truth and give our Conservative Queens the venue to earn those sparkly crowns they deserve!
