The World is Watching…But Are They Laughing At Us?
In the on-line version of the Russian newspaper, Pravda, contributing blogger Stanislav Mishin penned an interesting and eye-opening commentary on the subject of the destruction of American capitalism – “American Capitalism Gone With A Whimper”.
(It’s important to note here, that the article appeared on Pravda On-Line on April 27, 2009 and has subsequently been removed from the site after US media figures – Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh – reported on the piece and were swiftly disparaged by such leftist groups as Media Matters for America for what they say was “attacking President Obama” and making false claims. On a side note, Media Matter for America is self-described as “a Web-based, not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media.” Beware of any organization with “progressive” in their name.)
Mr. Mishin’s underlying, and at times, blatant message in his review of the American people’s reaction to the beginnings of what can be the devastation of capitalism in the United States, should be a revelation to all Americans. And for those not already wide awake having had their morning cup of joe, you had better go get yourself a can of Shock Triple Latte’ and drink up because we need your eyes wide open!
The citizens of the world outside of the United States view Americans as, in Mr. Mishin’s words, “passive, hapless sheeple” who “will go down into slavery without a fight, beating his chest, and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is.” More disturbing than the image of Americans being described as some sort of hybrid moron who is a mixture of submissiveness with a dollop of knuckle-dragging Neanderthal thrown in for good measure, is the realization that there is a cheerleading squad comprised of people from other nations, and yes, even from within our very own borders, who are gleefully cheering, watching and waiting for our destruction. (They don’t know us very well, now do they…)
The article’s framework lays out numerous compelling examples of the road America has traveled toward the collapse of capitalism, from our population being “dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system” to our “faith in God destroyed” to the point that “tens of thousands of different branches and denominations” of churches are “for the most part little more than Sunday circuses.” The final collapse, according to Mr. Mishin, “has come with the election of Barack Obama.” And now, the final nail in our “Capitalism is Dead” coffin, was hammered in with the re-election of Barack Obama. Compelling, indeed.
Years have passed since all the hoopla from Mr. Mishin’s article filtered through the airwaves, radio waves and newsprint; however, what has not abated is the very real threat to our Republic that Mr. Mishin described. We are a wounded animal fighting for our very lives, and the leader of this uncaring group of sheeple is greedily standing by watching us bleed out.
President Obama and the progressive, liberal left are working every angle of corruption possible in order to control (via “change”) not just the “business” of being an American, but the freedom of living our lives as Americans. Using well-orchestrated smoke-screen diversions meant to reroute our attention away from what they are really up to behind closed doors, President Obama and the Democratically controlled Congress are piece-by-precious-piece taking apart our Constitution and trashing it.
It is obvious that their first order of business was to destroy our already fragile economy, thus greatly diminishing many Americans’ ability to prosper. President Obama doesn’t bat an eyelash or flinch a muscle when reminded of his record-setting money spending and printing…could it be because this is part of his plan for “change”—via destruction?
The takeover of “big business” in America seemed to be on their progressive chopping block next, which included hatching deals with union bosses and some pretty shady special interest groups. Couple this with the planned redesign of our tax system, not to mention all the special favor tax breaks for progressive “friends” of President Obama’s, and we really began to open our eyes wider.
Of course, Health Care (de)reform quickly followed–or rather, was always a piece of the progressive puzzle that we soon discovered was sneaking along through the hallowed halls of our nation’s historic buildings, whispered into the ear and passed to the fist of, one liberal henchman to another.
And now, our 2nd Amendment Right to bear arms is blatantly under attack.
Mr. Minchin said, “The American public has taken this with barely a whimper…a ‘free man’ whimper.”
I hope that Mr. Minchin, progressive groups like Media Matters for America, liberals across the nation and the world, as well as the President himself, have taken notice (especially over the past few weeks) that real Americans patriots–freedom-fighting, hard-working, self-respecting, Christians – do not “whimper”. We discover the problem and then we ban together to fix it.
