Top 10 Conservative Women: PolitiChicks Picks

To start our new weekly “PolitiChicks Picks Top 10” series, we thought it would be appropriate to begin with our choices for the top Conservative American women. This was a tough one because there are so many strong Conservatives to choose from. However, the following women represent everything in our PolitiChicks motto: Politics with Power and Passion!
1. Sarah Palin
Sarah was picked apart by the mainstream media and hounded by the tabloids. She and her entire family were threatened, ridiculed, mocked, stalked, and yet Alaska’s Governor never lost her sense of humor nor did she give up the fight. Sarah Palin is not perfect (name one person who is) but she is and will always be a Conservative icon and a role model for women everywhere.
Congresswoman Bachmann remains one of the strongest, most unaffected politicians in Washington. In 2009, Bachmann first gained national attention with a viral video in which she spoke on the House floor about how General Motors was bullying car dealerships, calling it a “gangster government” takeover. During the 2012 debt ceiling debates, Rep. Bachmann was one of the only GOP leaders who remained steadfast in not allowing it to happen. And even if Rep. Bachmann hadn’t told both Dr. Gina and me that she’s a “big fan of PolitiChicks”, she would still be at the top of our list.
Besides being one of the greatest public speakers in the Conservative world, Michelle Malkin is also paving the way toward bringing the GOP into the 21st century. Malkin’s must-read website, Twitchy, is a fun, fast way to catch up on all of the liberal hypocrisy on Twitter. Also must-read are her syndicated columns scattered throughout the Conservative media world. As a commentator on Fox News, Malkin can take down and argue into oblivion any liberal who dares go up against her. And to prove there’s not much Michelle Malkin can’t do, she is also a classically trained pianist.
4. Ann Coulter
If you want to know what Ann Coulter is all about and why Conservatives love her, all you need to do is read the (hilarious) titles of some of her best-selling books: How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must); Godless: The Church of Liberalism; If Democrats Had Any Brains They’d Be Republicans; Demonic: How the Liberal Mob is Endangering America. Always controversial (sometimes on both sides of the fence), Ann Coulter can always be counted on as a fearless outspoken Republican leader.
No one in the media—left or right—has been more relentless about Fast and Furious than Katie Pavlich. She covered the scandal brilliantly in her best-selling book, “Fast and Furious: Barack Obama’s Bloodiest Scandal and Its Shameless Cover-Up” and continues to speak out about it. A tireless leader in the New Media, Pavlich is the news editor for TownHall.com and has recently become a Fox News contributor (about time, Fox!). Katie is our Honorary PolitiChick and is the perfect role model for every up-and-coming Conservative activist out there.
When Gov. Jan Brewer stood up to the Obama administration with her SB-1070, PolitiChick-type women everywhere were cheering her on. Most people assumed she would eventually back down (as everyone else seems to do)—but Gov. Brewer certainly did not. This photo of Gov. Brewer pointing at Obama on the tarmac still sends chills down our spines because no matter what their conversation was actually about, it appeared that she was the only person on earth brave enough to contradict the president. As a result, Gov. Jan Brewer will always be respected by Conservatives nationwide as the “female David” who stood down Goliath.
Phyllis Schlafly should be a permanent fixture on every top Conservative list. One of the original architects of the Conservative women’s movement, Mrs. Schlafly has been fighting against radical feminism since the early 1960’s. Instead of denigrating stay-at-home moms, Schlafly fearlessly defends the concept of “family” and promotes the fact that without strong mothers and wives, America will falter. Mrs. Schlafly continues to speak out and is the founder and president of Eagle Forum.
South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley has only been a political figure since 2004; before that she was a very successful businesswoman. Gov. Haley quickly gained national attention because of her strong GOP/Tea Party principles, fighting for smaller government, accountability and to eliminate wasteful spending. Her husband, Captain Michael Haley, was recently deployed with the National Guard to serve a year in Afghanistan. Gov. Haley’s statement to the press was, “We are a proud military family who understands the sacrifices any family goes through when a loved one is serving his or her country.” We are proud of Gov. Haley.
9. Mia Love
Entering politics in 2003, political powerhouse Mia Love became the first Haitian-American to be a member of the Saratoga Springs, Utah city council. In 2010, Mia Love became mayor of her town. She was instrumental in cutting the town’s expenses, reducing the city’s shortfall from $3.5 million to $779,000. In 2012 Mia Love ran for Congress, receiving campaign support from Gov. Mitt Romney and she was one of the most talked about speakers at the RNC. Unfortunately for Utah, Love lost the election by a mere 768 votes (or 0.31%) to democrat Jim Matheson. We at PolitiChicks.tv believe Mia Love’s star has only begun to rise!
10. Laura Ingraham
Laura Ingraham is another Conservative woman who can easily win any debates with liberals and does so often on Fox News and on the radio with her Laura Ingraham Show. She is a bestselling author of five books: The Hillary Trap, Shut Up & Sing, Power to the People, The Obama Diaries, and her latest, Of Thee I Zing: America’s Culture Decline from Muffin Tops to Body Shots. Laura Ingraham is the (excellent) substitute host for the O’Reilly Factor on Fox News.
