Infringement of Islam on the American Constitution

obama koranOn January 3, 2013, the newly elected representatives of the 113th Congress began the day with prayer .  There were readings from the Old and New Testaments in addition to the Koran.

Yes, the Koran.

Why did a Christian chaplain not only read a verse from the Old and New Testaments, but also for the first time in our history incorporate the exclusivity of reading from the Koran?  Would a Levite Priest invoke some of the teachings of Baal?  Is invoking the Moon God, Allah, now above all of the other religions?  Is this a sign that sharia law is next?

A reading from the Koran?  Why not a reading from the Hindu Reg Veda or the Shinto Nihon Shoki or perhaps the Zoroastrian Guru Granth Sahib.  How about reading from the Buddhist Tipitaka or to be even more tolerant, why not the Satanist book Livri Luciferius or as it is known in English, The book of Lucifer?   If we are going to start embracing all religions as equal in the nouveau-Americana salad bowl, as opposed to the old concept of the melting pot, we had better define terms.

In November of 2010, 70% of Oklahoma voters approved a constitutional amendment to ban sharia law, but the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Oklahoma sued for a restraining order, and the amendment never went into effect because a liberal federal appeals court struck it down the following January saying that it discriminated against religions, specifically Islam.

Now the United States Air Force Academyis accommodatingall religions and even went so far in 2011, with our tax money, to adapt to Wiccans, witches, pagans and druids.

According to an L.A. Times article, the academy dedicated … an $80,000 outdoor worship center — a small Stonehenge-like circle of boulders with propane fire pit — high on a hill for the handful of current or future cadets whose religions fall under the broad category of Earth-based.  Those include pagans, Wiccans, druids, witches and followers of Native American faiths.

It is interesting to note that they when the First Amendment was passed, it was that the Congress would establish no denomination which was understood to reflect the various Christian denominations that were in the world of that day (e.g., Church of England, Lutherans in Germany, Catholics in Spain and Italy, etc.).  After much deliberation, they finally changed the wording on the fourth reading from denomination to religion and passed it.

Occasionally, I might ask an acquaintance what their religion is.  Their response might be, I am a Catholic, which is an echo from the past that denominations were also synonymous with religion (e.g., my religion is Catholicism or Presbyterian or Lutheran, etc.).

Americans must beware.  Our terms are being redefined and so is who we are.

To begin with, our country was founded under the divine authority of the Judeo-Christian God with tolerance for other beliefs as well.  However, the Marxist progressives’ revisionist historians have redefined the meanings of our words.  Tolerance in the traditional sense means I believe that your views are totally wrong but for the sake of peace and getting along I will not make a big deal out of it.  Today’s revision of tolerance is to believe that even though I don’t agree with what you believe, I must accept that what you believe is just as valid as my belief because there are no absolutes—therefore, what you believe is also truth.

We are a tolerant Judeo-Christian nation in the traditional sense, which is to say that our government and Constitution are rooted in our biblical faith.  However, we desire to allow others to be free and to believe what they want to believe without harassment.  By allowing all Americans to feel free to worship as they believe in our Judeo-Christian society, we become stronger, and thus we all combine our diversity in the American melting pot.  A melting pot blends various portions of metals and minerals, which in turn become strong as iron.

The other tolerance is allowing, regardless of the divine validity of each faith that they should be held as equally valid and true regarding their moral equivalence upon our society, which if allowed to be extrapolated to its final conclusion, would leave us in quite a quandary as those who hold sharia law superior than our constitutional law would have us believe.  (Note: Islam can never be compatible with our Constitution as our founding document stands for the freedom of man and Islam by its very meaning, means submission which is by its very nature slavery.)

The problem with salads is that they don’t last very long; they soon start to wilt, then start to smell and finally become rancid and unfit for human consumption.

We know that our Constitution was founded under the Judeo-Christian God because providence is understood to be the God of the Bible, and for further proof that this was the Christian God our Founding Fathers were referring to, the Constitution was signed on “September 17, in the Year of Our Lord, one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven….”.  The date is from the time of Christ, and the Lord they referred to would have to have been Jesus Christ since it is dated Anno Domini, which is Latin for “Year of our Lord,” and it means the number of years since the time of Jesus Christ.  Our Founding Fathers were Christians who knew America was to be a Christian nation founded upon biblical principles and made sure we would know that they were acknowledging the Christian God’s sovereignty by telling us that this profound document was precisely signed “…in the Year of our Lord….”

The relevant paragraph in Article VII states:

Done in Convention by the Unanimous Consent of the States present the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven and of the Independence of the United States of America the twelfth IN WITNESS whereof We have here- unto subscribed our Names…

We’re starting to see the spirit of the anti-Christ, while not denying the dating of Jesus’ birth, having elected to change B.C. (Before Christ) to B.C.E. (Current Era) or B.C.E and A.D. (Before Current Era), thus falsely emphasizing their sensitivities to non-Christians and making it obvious their negative attitudes toward anything Christian.

We see this hostility also perpetrated a lot by the media elites through their school text books, television programs seen on the History channel, PBS and other supposedly intellectual venues.

James 1:8 says that a double minded mind is unstable in all his ways so if we embrace all gods and become polytheistic like the Romans, then—like the ancient Romans—we leave ourselves open to an even more escalated plunge into the depths of perversion and destruction that we find our country in today.

It is very apparent that we have turned our backs on the Judeo-Christian God of our Founding Fathers.  Through revisionist history, perpetrated by the Communist infiltration of our public schools and higher learning institutions, socialist-progressives have reinvented our Founding Fathers as being  mostly deists.

For those of you who do not know what a deist is, a deist believes that there was an impersonal god who created the universe and like a clockmaker; this god wound it up, set it in motion and walked away.  Therefore, the god of the deists is no longer present in the affairs of the universe that he neither created nor does he take part in the affairs of man.

A deist, according to these revisionist detractors, would be Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson.  Yet we know that Benjamin Franklin, upon a road block of legislation (sound familiar?) said that Congress needed to come together and pray.  This is hardly something a deist would request.

In today’s environment of secularists and humanists screaming “separation of church and state” (I defy anyone to find in the Constitution where this is mentioned), what would happen today if a United States President, acting as Chairman of the School Board of the District of Columbia, signed an Executive Order that the two main textbooks taught must be the Bible and the Watts Hymnal?  To make matters worse, let’s suppose this modern day president would encourage the largest church in America to hold its services in the halls of Congress and to make matters even more unconstitutional, this President would order the U.S. Marine Corps band to play Christian hymns during the service.

We all know what would happen immediately.  The shrill cries of separation of church and state would resonate throughout the land and make headlines on every newspaper and every broadcast station throughout the land.  An indignant Congress would call for his/her immediate impeachment and removal from office.

Well dear reader, you may be surprised to learn that this did, in fact take place by one of our Founding Fathers whom the socialist-progressives proclaimed to be a deist and who was none other than the writer of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson himself!

The media tell us that Thomas Jefferson believed in a wall of separation of church and state because he used the phrase in a letter. It doesn’t appear in the Constitution. The phrase reflects the view of the founders that the federal government shouldn’t establish a national church like they had in England. That was the separation they envisioned. As president, Jefferson became chairman of the school board for the District of Columbia and approved the use of the Bible and the Watts hymnal as textbooks. Clergymen were the teachers. Jefferson founded the University of Virginia, whose official motto, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free,” came from Jesus. Jefferson had this scripture inscribed on the walls inside the university rotunda, part of which he set aside for church services.  Biblical reference is John 8:32.

We are a nation who was once blessed by the Lord Jesus Christ.  We still can be, but only if we turn back to Him.  If we honor Him, He will honor us and we will become a great nation again.  Never lose site that we are a nation founded by Godly men on biblical principles and educate your children and grandchildren with this knowledge.

Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17).
