David VS. Goliath (And What You May Not Know About Your County Sheriff)
If you are a person who treasures liberty and our Constitution, you may very well be feeling as though We the People are up against a huge Goliath these days. That’s because we are!
Goliath (A.K.A. “the powers that be” in Washington, D.C.) continues to singlehandedly destroy our nation’s Constitutional governing principles through unjust legislation, out-of-control spending, oppressive mandates, and numerous executive orders. Unfortunately, anytime We the People “rise up” in protest, Goliath “sics” his guard dogs (A.K.A. “mainstream media”) out to mock, discredit, and demonize us. It’s no wonder the ordinary villager cowers in fear.
It used to be patriotic to stand up for liberty and godly principles, and against excessive government intrusion, and abuse of our God-given rights. But, thanks to Goliath’s Saul Alinsky-“esque” tactics, it’s now been deemed “hateful” “extremism” and “dangerous thinking” to take a stand for something so noble. The ordinary villager simply ‘goes along’ with Goliath because it’s much easier to “go along” with a bully than to resist. After all, resistance requires a backbone.
Needless to say, Goliath has been very successful at “fundamentally transforming America,” just as promised, changing her into his ideologies that are not in any way aligned with our beloved Constitution. At the same time, he has made efforts to legitimize himself as the “good guy” while characterizing those who value our Constitution (and the safeguards provided by our Bill of Rights) as the “bad guy”.
So, what on earth are We the People supposed to do now?
You guessed it. We are going to call on that shepherd boy,David for a little help with this oaf. While Goliath is hell-bent on robbing our liberty, plundering our pocketbooks, and FORCING us into servitude, it’s time to seek our humble David to defend us from Goliath’s firm clutch. But who is our humble David? Many may be surprised to find that David is our County Sheriff.
For the past four years, I had been looking in the wrong place for the answers until I recently learned that “peace” does not come from our presidents, or the Federal Government. Through much revelation, I have come to discover that the solution is much closer to us than we ever imagined. And our solution is even bigger than Goliath because we are the ones who appoint him (David) to protect us.
We choose our County Sheriff, our David,to be our keeper. Many County Sheriffs themselves are not even aware they are the “Supreme Law” maintaining authority over their county, even against Goliath (or the Federal Government).
In his book, The County Sheriff, America’s Last Hope, Sheriff Richard Mack addresses his County Sheriffs:
“Whether you like it or not, you have given your word through a solemn oath, to uphold, defend, support, and obey the United States Constitution. And, just in case you are wondering, sheriffs are part of the EXECUTIVE branch of government. Along with the President, we are the executors of the law; and what is the supreme law of the land? The United States Constitution! Therefore, what is our supreme duty and responsibility? That’s right! To protect and defend, the U.S. Constitution! There is nothing we could do, that could come even close to justifying any peace officer in this country failing to keep his oath of office. Keeping that oath is what makers our constitutional Republic unique and effective.”
And according to the book They Fired the First Shot (pg. 419):
“When the federal government sends out its wolves to take away our liberty and our unalienable rights, the sheriffs have more authority. They have more authority than the President of the United States in their own county. The county sheriff has total power to stand against the unconstitutional rulings, executive orders and unlawful rulings from the courts, the president, and congress, even from state and local governments that violate constitutional rights.”

I don’t know about you, but I feel a glimmer of hope after learning all of this. Our County Sheriffs and our entire nation need to know this, too!
Apparently, there are many County Sheriffs who have discovered this truth, and are now stepping up to stand by their Constitutional oath. In wake of the recent sweeping gun-control measures imposed by the Federal Government, several County Sheriffs have risen up to refuse to enforce unjust laws on their citizens.
According to a recent Personal Liberty Digest article, “Sheriff Danny Peyman of Jackson County, Ky., reminded Americans who are concerned about the Federal government’s continued efforts to destroy the United States Constitution that there is still a powerful and peaceful means of resistance: the county sheriff…Just a few of us have to be willing to stand up to political opposition putting our people at risk…The other side will back down.”
Yep. As our David’s start rising up, we can bet that cowardly Goliath will certainly back down.
A growing number of County Sheriffs seem to agree. From C.S.P.O.A., “Sheriffs have risen up all over our great nation to stand up against the unconstitutional gun control measures being taken.The following is a list of sheriffs and state sheriff’s associations from who have vowed to uphold and defend the Constitution against Obama’s unlawful gun control measures. I applaud these public servants for their courage and conviction.”

When it comes to protecting the Constitutional rights of their citizens, some County Sheriffs mean serious business. From the Washington Examiner:
“In the most strident warning over gun control to President Obama yet, the Utah Sheriffs’ Association is pledging to go to war over any administration plan to take guns away, even if it means losing their lives…In a direct warning to Obama, the FBI and other agencies, the sheriffs wrote: ‘Make no mistake, as the duly-elected sheriffs our our respective counties, we will enforce the rights guaranteed to our citizens by the Constitution. No federal official will be permitted to descend upon our constituents and take from them what the Bill of Rights–in particular Amendment II–has given them.’”
These County Sheriffs fully understand that they are not just hired men. They are chosen by their people to protect them. A County Sheriff’s duties are based on the principle functions of a shepherd who puts himself between the threat (including Goliath) and those he is chosen by, to defend.
According to They Fired the First Shot, (pg.445):
“Sheriffs across our nation are standing up against tyranny and are winning their battles without violence, without protests, without lawsuits. How? Because constitutional power is clear as to who holds the final authority in local areas. Not the President of the United States, not Congress, not the Supreme Court, but the local Sheriff holds the authority and he is fast becoming the hero of the people.”
And as the book They Fired the First Shot (pg. 440) also explains:
“The forgotten shepherd in the field, guardian of the flock. We do not have to place our hope on one elected as president, of which so much corruption is in at that level. It is far easier to focus locally and elect a constitutional sheriff, where our voices and our votes still have power of concentration because it’s in our own backyard. We can short-cut around the federalized positions of local, country, and state governments, along with the federal government, and even the president, himself, when they act unconstitutionally, or go meddling where they do not belong—by going directly to the county sheriff as the highest authority in the county.
Who would have guessed that aCounty Sheriff, who is courageous and with the guts of David, would be the answer to our Goliath problem?
So folks, it’s time we go to directly to the bottom and mix everything around. Our local County Sheriff is the David solution we have been looking for all along. Where does your own County Sheriff stand? Is he or she a Constitutional Sheriff, aDavid who follows his or her oath to the U.S. Constitution? If not, you now know that it is in your power to elect one who is!
