Beltway Alert: Islam Is In the House
In a recent PolitiChicks article, I reported that on January 3, 2013, the House of Representative’s Chaplin, Jesuit priest, the Reverend Patrick J .Conroy, began the opening of the 113th House of Representatives with prayer. We reported there were readings from the Old and New Testaments in addition to the Koran.
While we do not know what auspicious passage Reverend Conroy read from the Quran, we believe he probably avoided some of the following verses from the Muslim Holy Book:
O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people (Koran 5:51).
The Companions of the Garden will call out to the Companions of the Fire: ‘We have indeed found the promises of our Lord (Allah) to us true: Have you also found Your Lord’s (Jesus Christ) promises true?’ They shall say, ‘Yes;’ but a crier shall proclaim between them: ‘The curse of Allah is on the wrong-doers’ [Jews and Christians] (Koran 7:44, clarification mine).
O you who believe! do not take for guardians (friends) those who take your religion for a mockery and a joke, from among those who were given the Book (Jews and Christians) before you and the unbelievers; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah if you are believers.
And when you call to prayer they make it a mockery and a joke; this is because they are a people who do not understand.
Say: O followers of the Book! (Jews and Christians) do you find fault with us (for aught) except that we believe in Allah and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed before, and that most of you are transgressors? (Koran 5: 57-59, clarification mine).
The encroachment of Islam into the fabric of America, our laws and into the depths of government and Congress did not begin with Reverend Conroy. Six years ago in 2007, Keith Ellison, a Muslim, was sworn in to serve in the House of Representatives as a United States Congressman after being elected in November of 2006 from the 5th district of Minnesota. In 2007, the second Muslim elected to serve in the House was Andre Carson representing his Indiana congressional district. We now have Muslims working in various positions in the United States Government.
Keith Ellison demanded use of and received permission from the Library of Congress to use Thomas Jefferson’s own personal copy of the Koran on which to swear his oath of allegiance to the Constitution at the inauguration ceremony. Great care had to be taken to transport it from the Library of Congress to the swearing-in ceremony.
Although the Library of Congress is right across the street from the Capitol, library officials took extra precautions in delivering the Quran for the ceremony. To protect it from the elements, they placed the Quran in a rectangular box and handled it with a green felt wrapper once inside the Capitol.
Instead of using surface streets, they walked it over via a series of winding, underground tunnels, a trip that took more than 15 minutes. Guards then ran the book through security machines at the Capitol.
Ellison, who was born in Detroit and converted to Islam while in college, said he chose to use Jefferson’s Koran because it showed that “a visionary like Jefferson” believed that wisdom could be gleaned from many sources.

While much to do was made of the fact that Thomas Jefferson owned a Koran, it was never explained why our third president and writer of the Declaration of Independence had it in his possession. The reason was because of the hostile attacks upon American shipping, resulting in women and men being thrown into slavery or ransomed along with the confiscating of merchandise and treasure being perpetrated by the infamous Barbary Pirates. Jefferson had no CIA at the time and needed to understand his enemy—unlike today’s politicians—and used the Koran as a valuable tool to that end.
Before the prayer for the 113th new members of Congress took place, the chaplain told CBN News his message would remind lawmakers they are called to be servants.
Conroy stated, “Being a member of Congress and perhaps being a person of faith is about understanding oneself as a servant, not as a politician or not as a person with power and authority.”
As we mused in our PolitiChick article entitled, Infringement of Islam on the American Constitution, we stated …if we embrace all gods and become polytheistic like the Romans, then—like the ancient Romans—we leave ourselves open to an even more escalated plunge into the depths of perversion and destruction that we find our country in today!
Well it looks like what was once just a conspiracy theory is now rapidly becoming fact.
Consider Rep. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) who was sworn in during the month of January, 2013, on the Bhagavad Gita instead of a Bible. The Senate also got its first Buddhist ever, Democrat Mazie Hirono, also from Hawaii.
As stated above, there are many more passages from the Koran, the religion of peace, that Reverend Conroy could have quoted, but the verse from the Koran that has made headlines for over a decade, the good Father was wise to avoid.
Many of us have been shocked to hear Mullahs and Islamic presidents calling the Jews “sons of apes and pigs.” One headline quoted Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi calling Jews descendants of apes and pigs. President Morsi is not the only one to use this hate speech.
Some of us recently heard Hamas proclaiming, Jews are sons of monkeys and pigs. It was only after a great outcry that some of them backed off of this rhetoric. However, the truth is that these are the very words of their deity Allah as written in the Quran:
Say: Shall I inform you of (him-Jews and Christians- who is) worse than this in retribution from Allah? (Worse is he) whom Allah has cursed and brought His wrath upon, and of whom He made apes and swine, and he who served the Shaitan (Satan); these are worse in place and more erring from the straight path (Koran 5:59-60, clarification mine).
Be forewarned America—the Islamic camel has just put his proverbial nose under the tent of Congress!
