The Crisis for Israel and Their Supporters

Now I must admit that I had to do some research to kind of remind myself about the history of Israel and Palestine. Quite frankly things can get a little confusing when you begin to look at how groups like Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood are intertwined in this conflict. Now let’s also not forget how the media is portraying the recent conflict between Israel and Palestine. We’ve seen social media being used by Hamas and other radical groups portraying fictional victims being attacked in photos and videos to insight rage and more riots. The group Anonymous today touted that they were also becoming involved to help the “victims” of the tyrannical Israel……really? They laid claim to hacking thousands of Israeli websites and use the title #OpsIsrael in their communications on social media sites such as Twitter.
Notice the media who is complacent in the narrative of how Israel is somehow the “bully” in this conflict completely ignore the fact that Israel has been taking over 700 direct airstrike rocket fire out of Gaza within the last year and years prior to this has endured various attacks by Hamas who have been getting their stocked supplies of weapons from Egypt smuggled in underground tunnels. Hamas gains power of the Gaza strip from Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas around five years ago. Hamas has been a staunch enemy of Israel and like Iran wants to see the whole country wiped off the map. But hey, Israel is the bully here right? I mean after all poor Hamas and Palestine are just trying to protect the Gaza strip from occupation against those evil Israelis’ despite the fact that Israel has not occupied the area since 2005 but maintain a blockade to try and stop the arms being smuggled in those tunnels. I guess Hamas, Palestine and Egypt should just be able to continue bringing those weapons in so they can accomplish their goal of total annihilation of Israel right?
The main stream media (or who I affectionately call the lapdog media) has made any viewer watching their news programs aware of how anti-Israel they are which seems to be the running narrative they feed into with a silent White House. Obama’s ever loving MSNBC and CNN hosts have suggested on their talk show the past few days that the air attacks against Israel is really “nothing much to complain about” also take a stance on Jerusalem being considered the capital of Israel.
So what has been America’s official response to the conflict and threats of war between Israel and Palestine/Hamas? I mean after all the United States is supposed to be the biggest ally for our friends Israel right? We all know this current administration has not been viewed by many Americans as pro-Israel. Matter of fact reports would suggest that the Obama administration has taken a back seat on any involvement or comments against the current attacks our ally Israel is facing. Can’t be much of a surprise considering this administrations knack of having staff members in key positions that have openly admitted they are pro-Palestinian.
Take for example Samantha Power. You remember that name right–the radical leftist wife of former Regulatory Czar Cass Sunstein? The same Samantha Power who wrote a book on the need for a large occupying force to protect Palestine and the same person who was the catalyst for the decision for Obama to invade Libya. In addition Power is on a list of possible replacements for Secretary of State when Hillary Clinton steps down after the end of the first term. Currently Power serves as the National Security Council’s senior director for multilateral affairs and human rights.
A comment made by Power suggests there is need for worry on what the Obama administration will do if further conflict with Israel and Palestine occur:
“What we need is a willingness to actually put something on the line…and putting something on the line might mean alienating a domestic constituency of tremendous political and financial import. It may more crucially mean…investing literally billions of dollars not in servicing Israeli military, but actually investing in the new state of Palestine.
Obama himself has not helped with the relationship with Israel when he suggests in one speech that there will be no daylight between us and Israel (referencing our stance to protect Israel) and then either never met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during the crisis with Iran or made the PM come through the back door during one of his visits to the White House. Obama can be considered as passive aggressive with Israel and that would be an educated description when you look at the treatment of PM Netanyahu. Additionally, Obama has been pro-Muslim Brotherhood despite stating during the rise in Egypt that he would not allow a member of this anti-Israel group to take over power.
So many Americans became educated on what will happen if Obama was able to be re-elected and the concept of a United State of Islam will most certainly come to fruition. It is sad when so many voters chose to think of themselves and what Government can give them than what our country will face if Israel feels it has no friends in the United States and takes action to use Nuclear weapons. As of today, Hamas has fired 95 rockets into Israel. They are empowered by the lack of response by the Obama administration and Hamas’ friendships with Iran, Syria and now Turkey. There is the threat of a ground invasion and Hamas has made known that their only option to grant peace for Israel is if Israel stops the blockade in Gaza (again allowing Hamas to be fed weapons by the Muslim Brotherhood and Iran) and no more attacks of key officials of Hamas take place. That option is a no win for Israel and our President stays silent.
Israel has a right to protect their people. It is my hope that the people of Israel will hear the voices of the great number of many Americans who are behind them in their efforts to survive. I know in the same efforts the radical left use social media to demonize Israel and her supporters, there are just as many using the network to send messages of support in spite of the hateful rhetoric of the left. God’s wrath will answer the attackers one day. That wrath is one I fear and never want to see in my lifetime but fear we may. Let us all continue to prayer for Israel and for our country.
