Remove the Mirrors From Your Home If You Don’t Vote

If people don’t have a concern for politics in America, I think it’s because American society is out of sync and much of life out of balance. People have always cared about human life and human sacrifice at all levels; not so much anymore and we are now living in a society that is dominated by political correctness. Don’t insult someone with the facts because they are living their own reality, completely separate from the real world. Just speaking about truth versus fiction is bound to have insulted someone. Even speaking out against political correctness is practically a crime and truth is now something to be manipulated for personal gain without regard for personal integrity and lining with honesty.
No wonder some Americans will not vote. To many, voting is not a matter of integrity or principle but is instead considered old fashioned and outmoded. These are possibly the same folks who lose themselves in reality TV and the lives of celebrities rather than looking at how they can personally make their community and nation strong. Their reality does not include a responsibility to our country in large part because they think politicians are addressing their personal needs.
Unfortunately they’re not always off base in their mistrust, which is one of the symptoms of America’s misdirection. When politicians forget whom they work for–the voters who put them into office– they tend to lose their way, disregarding honesty and integrity. We live in a time where politicians who have committed ethics violations are held up as having righteous ideology. We have politicians with the poorest of ethics stay in office without shame or accountability.
If you are a registered voter who plans not to vote, I am speaking directly to you. If you witnessed an accident, would you stand silently, hoping someone else will help, or would you simply walk away? Because that’s basically what has happened to America; she is hurt and needs your help and this is not the time to turn your back on her.
If we individual citizens do not conduct our lives with honesty, integrity and ethics, how can we expect our children to do so? How can we expect politicians to understand that we Americans mean business if we don’t bother to vote them out of office when they misrepresent our country? If we do not get out and vote, politicians will dictate your lives without your input. The children of today are already being manipulated as pawns in political ads, potentially affecting the children of tomorrow. How can we give our children hope when we hide from reality, responsibility and truth?
It is time for passive Americans to become active voters. We must be courageous and responsible for our lives, our family, our community and country. We must not stand idly by while the future and hope of our young people is being corrupted. We must vote not for more broken promises and an even more altered reality – -we must vote for the recovery of our nation. Vote, as I am, for Romney and Ryan on Tuesday.
