“Hating Breitbart” Movie Review
Why are people on the left so terrified of hearing both sides of the story? That was Andrew Breitbart’s goal in life–to “change the narrative” and point out the hypocrisy and truth about the National Enquirer-style reporting by the mainstream media. Although there may be tiny shards of truth in the news, there is so much more that they’re either hiding or lying about in order to further their agenda.
“Hating Breitbart” director Andrew Marcus recorded hundreds of hours of film, following Breitbart to rallies, speaking engagements and 2010 CPAC. Marcus chronicled the vicious attacks Breitbart endured–almost gleefully–and proved we do not have to back down or submit to the bullying of the left.
Andrew Breitbart paved the way for the New Media and Hating Breitbart unequivocally shows how completely empty these progressive Smoke Monsters really are. It is a brilliant film, executive produced by our own PolitiChicks executive producer, Beverly Zaslow.
Be sure to stay through the credits when the entire Anthony Weiner saga unfolds. It’s definitely a hilarious must-see.
On a personal level, Andrew Breitbart is one of the reasons many of us in the New Media do what we do. He was/is an inspiration and his loss is still felt deeply by all of us. I had the privilege of interviewing Andrew at CPAC this year, a month before he died. Here’s my interview—and note his reaction at the beginning when I tell him he’s one of the reasons I got into New Media; it still makes me cry.
