I Carry You With Me

It is hard to believe it has been eleven years since that awful day.  People who are familiar with me as an artist, or who may read my blog know that I’m Greek and it is not often that I find myself speechless on any given topic.  Really, I can ramble on over a 1,000 words about a new pair of sneakers or about the newest brand of healthy protein bar I just found.

However as many others I’m sure, I find that when it comes to this horrible day in our history, I am left with nothing but emptiness; a deep sadness that I do not think will ever be filled.

As a New Yorker, and as an American, I mourn for the innocents lost that tragic day.  It is very hard to lose the ones we love.  The heart never forgets.

So my wish is simple, to dedicate my song that deals with grief and loss to anyone who lost a loved one on 9/11, and also to anyone who continues to feel the void and sadness from so many souls taken that day.

To all of the brave men and women, first responders and elected officials who stepped in and stepped up to help those effected by this terrible tragedy, I hope I Carry You With Me brings peace and serenity to hurting hearts.
