Alec Baldwin & Pals Are Confused. Let’s Help Them.

Alec Baldwin and most of his Hollywood playmates have been (and strangely continue to be) Barack Obama cheerleaders. In one of the most “pot, meet kettle” Huffington Post interviews of 2011, Baldwin tried to understand why Conservatives don’t seem to like his hero.
Since then, Baldwin and his equally obnoxious buddies Cher, Ellen Barkin and others continue to hurl evil insults at Conservatives via the MSM and their (way overused) Twitter accounts.
So with the elections only a few months away, I thought I’d revisit Baldwin’s interview in order to try and help others who might be equally as confused as poor Alec.
At one point in the article Baldwin—who can easily be described as Ken doll-esque—had allegedly called Mitt Romney a ‘Ken doll’.
I did not write that Romney is a Ken doll. He is anything but. And the sooner Democratic political operatives agree on that, the better for Obama. I referred to that iconic retail figure to highlight those types that are lean of frame and square jawed, like Romney, who seem to hold the public’s attention more easily. Something starkly visual that either aids a candidacy or rarely hurts it. Especially where the candidate is a male. Comments about Sarah Palin’s beauty were punted around in the political media, but it was a double-edged sword that cost as much as it benefited. Especially with other women, oddly enough.
Baldwin—who has a net worth of $65 MILLION and can definitely pay for helicopters– went on to explain why he believes Romney’s wealth is a threat to Obama in the elections:
Romney is a serious challenge to Obama. He is wealthy, so he can pay for his own helicopter to his kid’s ballgame…. He is a decent speaker, and will only improve if his GOP handlers are as Pygmalionesque as they have proven in the past.
Next, Baldwin, touted his hero Barack’s accomplishments as a president and as a ‘family man’ (of which Baldwin seems to be sorely lacking, by the way…):
More importantly, Obama is still someone that many Americans have chosen to withhold their deepest feelings of admiration and affection for, in spite of the fact that he got bin Laden’s scalp, contributed to saving the US auto industry (at least for now), and coughed up his birth certificate to silence all of that Swift-boating, election-nullifying trash out there. He appears to be a very bright, sober, hard-working, deeply caring man. A husband and father.
Alec then praised Obama’s physical traits. (Baldwin really REALLY seems to appreciate men with “square jaws”…just saying…)
Obama is lean of frame and square of jaw and loves his country, too. Obama and Romney even share some opinions on matters of urgent domestic policy.
Finally, Baldwin sadly, almost desperately, doesn’t understand why ‘some people’ just don’t like Barack Hussein Obama:
Yet, in some people’s eyes, Obama lacks something. I wonder what that could be?
You wonder, huh? Well, Mr. Baldwin, I’ll try to answer your question about what President Obama is lacking in terms that even a vacuous liberal actor like yourself can understand.
First of all, unlike you, we could care LESS what Obama looks like. We don’t care about his (or yours or Romney’s) ‘square jaw’ and ‘lean frame’ and whether or not he’s a ‘family man’.
Matter of fact, we’re basically okay with most of Obama’s personal life, although we’d prefer he maybe play a little less golf and stop all the extravagant, elitist, over-the-top world traveling every other month…
Our dislike for Barack Obama as president is all about the ECONOMY.
It’s about GAS PRICES.
It’s about his WAR ON COAL and OIL and INDUSTRY and the FREE MARKET SYSTEM.
It’s about HIS “war on the middle class”—not ours—and the threats he uses against all classes of Americans in order to get away with raising taxes.
It’s about the (literal) Communists and terrorists he’s surrounded himself with his entire life and brought into OUR White House with open arms.
It’s about his constant flow of Executive Orders, overriding a history of Congressional due process in order to get his way like the petulant, thin-skinned child he seems to be.
It’s about the fact that he and his buddy Eric Holder seem to care more about protecting criminals and law-breakers instead of victims and/or American citizens.
Yes, under Obama’s term as president Bin Laden was killed—but most sane people (including the Navy Seals) will never give him the credit he desperately craves for doing this. It was an undertaking that began long before Barack Obama got into the White House and on this point, we CAN blame Bush for the ultimate demise of Bin Laden.
And regarding Obama “saving the auto industry’—according to Dan Ikenson of Forbes.com, not so much.
“Any verdict on the auto bailouts must take into account, among other things, the illegal diversion of TARP funds, the forced transfer of assets from shareholders and debt-holders to pensioners and their union; the higher-risk premiums consequently built into U.S. corporate debt; the costs of denying Ford and the other more worthy automakers the spoils of competition; the costs of insulating irresponsible actors, such as the autoworkers’ union, from the outcomes of an apolitical bankruptcy proceeding; the diminution of U.S. moral authority to counsel foreign governments against market interventions; and the lingering uncertainty about policy that pervades the business environment to this day.”
Last but not least, Mr. Baldwin, high on the list of things Conservative Americans believe Barack Obama is “lacking” are his seeming lack of appreciation for our American foundation, and his lack of understanding (and/or respect) for our Constitution.
Got it, Alec? Now please stop with all the condescending, insulting tweets you continuously make against HALF the audience that has supported your career for decades. WE have helped provide for your family and your 1%-er lifestyle. And while you’re at it, stop trying to be a politician and go do what your audience pays you to do—ACT.
