A Letter to Obama From a Frustrated Teacher

When I first saw you on television I was impressed with such an articulate, fluid, charismatic orator. You were passionate and clear with your message and vision for America. There would be transparency and no more back room deals. You would be the first half-black and half-white president who could unite the country.
But then I really started listening and I heard what you were saying.
Many of the articles that I read about you are saying how wonderful you are or how awful you are. Yet so many Americans are not sure where you stand on so many of the issues that I cannot say with any certainty what your stance is on any issue. I have no doubt you love your family and want the best for them. I would even go so far as to say that some of the decisions you have made whilst in office you made with good intentions, thinking they were the best decisions for the country.
I would love to interview you so you could answer some questions I have.
Obviously I don’t know you personally, but as an American citizen, I feel as though I know little to next to nothing about you, even after almost four years of your presidency. That is very concerning as a mother, grandmother, and private citizen. It would appear that when people start asking too many questions or gain some knowledge of your plans for this country, that they disappear or suddenly change their mind–and I find that rather disconcerting!
I sent an e-mail to the Whitehouse website asking for an interview, but, as yet, I have heard nothing.
As a grandparent, a parent, and a teacher who works in the public school system, I am very concerned about the future of this country. So that being said, here are some of the questions I would like to ask you in an interview. Please feel free to answer them at your convenience.
It would appear, with all due respect, that you do not like America or Americans in general. Why is that? This is the country that has offered you all that you have. Are there other factions involved in your decision-making?
Why do you appear to be ashamed of your white heritage, as it is a part of who you are?
What reason would you have to have an illegal person speaking at the Democratic convention? That decision alone displayed total disrespect and disregard to all American citizens and to all the people who came here the legal way, completing out their paperwork, paying their money, and having their fingerprints taken etc. It was an absolute disgrace to everyone! Why? What do you have to hide?
Are you allowing illegal people to vote?
How is it possible you sat under right Jeremiah Wright’s teachings for 20+ years and had no idea he was anti-American and anti-white people? Wright married you and your wife, he baptized your children and we’re supposed to believe you knew nothing of his hatred for America!
With all due respect, since you have been in office racial tensions have increased. As a public school teacher in middle school, trust me, I know. Are you proud of that fact? My students know that I care about them as a person, the skin color is a non-issue, and yes we do discuss these issues without anger and finger pointing. To quote Martin Luther King, “…it’s about content of character, not color of skin…” Would he be proud of what is happening today in this country, somehow I don’t think so.
Why has the Black Panther movement become more prominent during your presidency and Samar Shabazz is reported to say in “inner city militaries that would go into nurseries and kill white babies and murder white people n the street.” Are you okay with those comments? One would hope not.
Why the reluctance to produce your college records, financial aid records, and any other records to determine who you are and then pay an astronomical fee to keep those records closed? If your birth certificate is legitimate why did you wait so long to produce it? The majority of Americans are well aware it is an appalling fake that a 5th grader could have created using technology. As a public school teacher, I had to have fingerprints taken for a background check and college transcripts produced before I could be hired. Am I any different from you?
If the healthcare plan is so good for us, why is your family not participating in it?
Why is it reported you have many social security numbers and why one from Connecticut?
Abortion is not healthcare–it is murder. Would you really prefer your daughters to have an abortion as opposed to carrying a child full-term? Medical facts verify that women who have abortions suffer more with depression and are more likely to commit suicide. Is that really what you want? Have a really good look at a sonogram – you would be amazed at how much it looks like a fetus. Just for the record, fetus is a Latin word meaning offspring or little one.
The current economy is in a shambles. Is that something you are proud of, or do you even care? Why do you appear to want to destroy this great country that was built on the backs of Europeans and Africans, why?
Do the factions that are controlling your decision-making want you to turn this into a communist country so that a few elites can enjoy life from the hard work of others?
Homosexual behavior and killing children have been the downfall of civilizations throughout history. In the end we all lose when these behaviors are accepted as normal within a society. It is the act that is abhorrent – not the person! The greatest concern is that the American people really do not know you, does that concern you, and do you even care?
I, as a private citizen would like answers to these and many other questions, so would you answer them for me?
I pray regularly for you to know the truth, and I do mean THE truth.
I have educated black friends who voted for you because you gave them hope. Yes, they voted for you on the color of your skin, but they now regret doing so.
Bottom line, Barack Obama, Barry Soetoro, Barry Dunham… Who are you?
I look forward to hearing from you and interviewing you face-to-face, without the teleprompter.
Sincerely,
Barbara Cook
