Is Tim Kaine Guilty of Obstruction of Justice? How About the FBI?

The headline on Fox News said, Sen. Tim Kaine’s son among 8 charged with disrupting pro-Trump rally.

A spokesperson for Kaine said Friday, “Tim and Anne support their son and hope the matter is resolved soon.”

Sound familiar? The New York Times said that an anonymous leaker read them part of Jim Comey’s memo (meeting notes) in which Comey allegedly said that at his meeting with President Trump following the dismissal of General Flynn, the President allegedly commented something like ‘I hope that this can be resolved very soon’, both agreeing that General Flynn was a good guy.

Assuming that these comments were actually made by the President, the sentiment expressed is no different from the sentiment expressed by Tim Kaine. I do not believe that either men crossed the line into the Obstruction of Justice realm. However, if one did, so did the other. But, of course, where is the MSM in questioning the ethics of Tim Kaine? Nowhere to be found.

I would also like to pose a question regarding the FBI leaking. Can the actions of members of the FBI (and other agencies) qualify as Obstruction of Justice? On Hannity Friday night (5/26), Dennis Kucinich made an interesting observation which I will paraphrase:

‘We have to be aware of the impact of prejudicial publicity .. and for the FBI to participate in the leaks actually would destroy any case that they would try to build, so this is really a wrong approach. It’s damaging to our Constitution, it hurts our country and the FBI ought to get back to the basic work of doing investigations without trying to convict people through rumors, inuendo and leaks.’

This opens up a whole world of possibilities in the matter of Obstruction of Justice. Expressing the thought of hoping that an investigation will end soon pales in comparison to what the FBI and intelligence community are doing. As we already know, the MSM will never position any of these leaks as Obstruction of Justice when they help the MSM to achieve the objective of harming this Presidency.

If the FBI leaks are actually Obstruction of Justice, does this mean that any cases involving those leaks should be thrown out? I am not an attorney but it seems that there could be something to this possibility. Maybe it is just wishful thinking.

In any case, leakers must be stopped and convicted, harshly. We want our Democracy back but this can only be truly achieved after The Swamp has been drained!
