Ivanka Trump and her three children were harassed by a fellow passenger Thursday on a flight out of New York.
An “out-of-control passenger” was “verbally berating” the 35-year-old daughter of President-elect Donald Trump and “jeering” at her children.
Dan Goldstein, a Brooklyn lawyer, confronted Ivanka Trump and said her father is ‘ruining this country,’ TMZ reports.
Goldstein and his Hillary supporter husband Matthew Lasner were thrown off of the JetBlue flight from New York to San Francisco on Thursday when they accosted the future first daughter and started shouting at her.
While holding a child in his arms Goldstein, 35, began screaming: ‘Why is she on our flight. She should be flying private.’
Ivanka paid as little attention as possible and tried to preoccupy her children with some crayons to diffuse the situation until the crew escorted him off the plane.
As he was removed, the man reportedly yelled, “You’re kicking me off for expressing my opinion?”
JetBlue released a statement to TMZ that said the decision to remove a customer from a flight was never “taken lightly.”
JetBlue also stated:
“If the crew determines that a customer is causing conflict on the aircraft, the customer will be asked to deplane, especially if the crew feels the situation runs the risk of escalation during flight. Our team worked to re-accommodate the party on the next available flight.”
A spokeswoman for the U.S. Secret Service said agents were with Ivanka Trump and her children on the flight, and that it was the airline’s decision to remove the other passenger.
