Tim Ryan, a Democrat elected in 2002, is a 43-year old challenging Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for the Democratic House leadership post.
Ryan told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Friday:
“We are not winning and it’s time for a change. I mean we got shellacked Tuesday.” He added, “We have the smallest majority since 1929 in our caucus. If you take state and federal officials, Democratic officials, we have the smallest number since reconstruction. If that’s not a call for doing something differently, I don’t know what is.”
