Guest Writer Monty Morton: It’s Show Time For Obama

mheadshotclub_FotorIn Show Business, when a comedian is doing their act, and the jokes are not working, a comeback from the failing comedian might be, “Here’s another one you won’t like.” We have a President on the World Stage, and his ‘act’ is not working, and we do not like it. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, “Immigration and Amnesty, Hamas and Israel, and the ever popular ISIS.”

In 2008, then Senator Barack Obama promised us Immigration Reform. Like many, I believed him. Beginning with his term, and for the next two years, Democrats held the majority in the House and Senate. Apparently the administration ‘used its gun- powder’ on a Stimulus that didn’t work, and a Health Reform that the majority of Americans dislike. As a result of punting on Immigration Reform, we now have Obama’s ‘Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals,’ which is de facto amnesty.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

This Executive Order ostensibly allows illegals who come here as children, to defer deportation, a magnet of the first order. Yet the Obama Administration would have you believe, as they have told us, about all the deportations that have occurred under their watch. What they won’t tell us is that 94% of all deportations fall into two categories: Illegals crossing the border, and those convicted of a crime.

Without real comprehensive border reform, we are creating the next generation of Americans who cannot speak English, are poorly educated, relegated to lower paying jobs, and who will not easily assimilate into society. I wonder if President Obama has taken this into consideration when he speaks of “Income Inequality?” So, what did our President do?

He proposed a $3.7 Billion Border Bill. Sounds great, but what does it do? Let me tell you what it doesn’t do. It does very little, if anything, for Border Protection. Over 50% of the $3.7 Billion goes to “better house and care for the children.” This sounds more like the “Price is Right,” and the announcer is calling for “South America, come on down!” Of the balance, 23% goes to “Alternatives to Detention Programs,” with only 11% going to “Customs and Border Protection.” Here is something else ‘you might not like.’

Then Senator, and now President Obama has voiced support and affinity for Israel, even claiming that “we have Israel’s back.” I question how familiar our President is with ‘The Covenant of the Hamas?”

The preamble states, “Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it…” Article 7 of the Covenant, which is nothing less than an anti-Semitic incitement reads, “The day of judgment will not come about until Muslims fight Jews and kill them…”

Israel was born in response to the horrors of the Holocaust. Many on the left would have you believe that Israel is showing its hubris and power, and that Israel is the aggressor. We must remember that Israel was attacked in 1948, 1967, and 1973, and all land gains did not occur from Israel attacking anyone, but from being attacked. Yet, Israel gave up all that land, and what happened? Israel got attacked. However, this administration calls for Israel to show ‘restraint,’ Kerry goes to France and tries to make a deal in which the Israeli’s have not agreed, and treats Hamas as if it were a sovereign nation, which it is not. All of this qualifies as ‘having Israel’s back?” I think not.

Dennis Prager had an excellent analogy, and he said, “If Hamas put down their weapons and rockets, what would happen? If Israel did the same thing what would happen?” You, the reader can make that call. Just like the failed comedian, here’s one more you might not like.

Who said, “Iraq will be one of our greatest achievements?” No, it was not a comedian; it was our Vice-President, Joe Biden. And when conservatives predicted in 2005, ‘that terrorists will try to re-establish a caliphate throughout the entire world,’ liberals jeered at such predictions.

Our military commanders pleaded with the President to leave a residual force behind in Iraq, but the left would have you believe we could not as there was not a “Status of Forces Agreement.” Experts would disagree.

Iraqi officials began requesting U.S. drone strikes against ISIS as far back as 2013. The administration knew by the end of 2013 that ISIS had established armed camps and staging areas. In fact, the New York Times reported that in May of 2014, Maliki secretly asked the Obama administration to carry out airstrikes against the staging areas. Iraq’s appeal was rebuffed.

So here is what we know. Against the advice of our military commanders, Obama withdrew all American forces from Iraq. We know that the Iraqi’s have been begging the U.S. to strike, and those requests have been denied. We know that ISIS is ‘dug in,’ and their Caliphate is becoming reality. The responsibility for Iraq falls squarely on Obama’s back. Who is watching Obama’s back?

Thank you, you’ve been a lovely audience.
