Sen. Brecheen – OK’s Final Debate Against Common Core

In my last blog, I mentioned the brilliant debate against Common Core by our Oklahoma Senator Josh Brecheen. From the beginning, where he points out that Common Core is a grand experiment to the end. He reads from The Bluest Eye, which has to be edited to be read on the Senate floor. It is powerful. I was there in the Senate gallery that day, and I was physically sitting on the edge of my seat. While I realize most people might not be so intrigued by watching most floor debates, and the camera is not at the best angle, I promise you, this will take your breath away. This is about government recommending these “standards” that are so very inappropriate to our children:

This is Oklahoma. Our HB3399 to stop Common Core passed both houses. Now it sits on the Governors desk awaiting her signature. She is Chair of the National Governors Association and is surrounded by scrupulous staff who do not like to be bothered with the will of the people. She has said publicly that she would sign the bill, but she is under tremendous pressure. If Oklahoma wins this one, though, the entire U.S. will win. We will lead the way to rid everyone of Common Core.

We need your prayers, and we need you to send her letters today from across the U.S. per these instructions: Letters To Gov Fallin to Sign HB3399 http://conta.cc/1jUav2H
