High levels of integrity in leadership are a strategic asset that is required for trust. Once trust is broken the term ‘dismissed of duties’ are required. It has nothing to do with investigations or being innocent or guilty. It has to with the level of leadership and accountability a person holds that is required. If the level of leadership can’t be maintained, “fired” is the term that I would use.
Situations that would require a leader and/or a President to take responsibility and create massive changes are:
~ 4 dead Americans and no one is answering the tough questions
~ IRS; a government agency gone wild
~ Fast & Furious; who knows what that was really about?
~ Attorney General, the highest law enforcement in America, is under questioning for lying. The entire world must be laughing.
~ Obamacare, no one read it. How did that happen?
Most everyone has it 100% wrong.
There are different levels of leadership. High levels of leadership will always be held to higher standard and when situations occur that create even a perception of unethical character the leader is replaced without hesitation. Why do elected officials give themselves and government employees a different standard?
What should have happened within the Obama administration is that everyone involved in all of the current scandals should have been placed on leave with pay or removed from position immediately.
Why didn’t this happen? Because they all feed off of each other for fame, fortune and their political careers while Americans sit and listen to political spin, which does nothing to protect Americans. It should not only be about having investigations, conducting hearings or special counsels because the results will likely be that Republicans or Democrats will do nothing and Americans will end up with a bunch of (expensive) ‘lip service’.
Government bureaucracy has created unacceptable standards for leadership behavior and accountability standards. This comes from the lack of character in American politicians, something that Americans simple don’t need and should not tolerate.
It’s time to deal with ‘reality’ not ‘cultural opinions’ and start holding government Representatives accountable–from the President down to members of Congress.
