Getting Ready for Hillary 2016

bumper sticker HillaryYes, we did just have an election last year. Yes, it was a long and hard fought battle. Yes, President Obama was just sworn in for his 2nd term in January and yes, here comes Hillary getting ready for 2016.

Over the past few weeks, I have noticed a surge in the push for Hillary Clinton for the upcoming 2016 Presidential election. Not only have Hillary and Chelsea been hitting the airwaves, but also Obama himself seems to be preparing America for the first female President of the United States. In fact, a big Super Pac, Ready For Hillary, is aggressively pushing for donations and believe it or not, the bumper stickers have already been printed.  Are we ready for another Clinton in the White House?  Senator Claire McCaskill (D – MO) thinks so. “It’s important that we start early, build a grassroots army from the ground up, and effectively use the tools of the internet – all things that Obama did so successfully – so that if Hillary does decide to run, we’ll be ready to help her win.”

It seems that we just finished wiping off the sweat from the last election and now it’s time to gear up again. The Democrats are preparing to take the lead in the campaign for 2016.  What is puzzling to me is why now? Could it be that they really feel that they were successful in their strategy of getting Obama re-elected, or are they feeling out their base because of Hillary’s ties to Benghazi?  Might they be a little concerned about how they will have to overcome the questions surrounding this scandal? Maybe they are thinking that the NSA spying of American citizens and the IRS targeting of Conservatives have taken over the headlines and that Benghazi will be forgotten. Whatever the reason, I somehow think that we on the right will not allow Benghazi to be put to rest. Not until we have some answers at least.

Regardless of the reason that the Democrats are in full campaign mode so early, the GOP may need to step up to the plate a little bit earlier for this election cycle. Not only because we don’t want them to get an edge on us in the next election, but because we owe it to those that lost their lives while serving our Country … we owe it to their families. There are questions that have not been answered.  They deserve those answers and so do we.  Hillary is knee deep in the Benghazi scandal and it does make a difference. The highest office in the land must not be turned over again to someone who will not answer that 3:00 am call.  Whether it be the brain clot or the simple fact that she failed to act when our brave Ambassador called for help, Hillary must be held accountable for her part in the deaths of these men. Some Democrats may turn their heads, but the American people should not.

I suggest that we get our signs back out, start reorganizing and start educating ourselves on the candidates and the issues now. The midterm elections are right around the corner but it looks like we will need to step over the 2016 Presidential campaign first.  Hillary 2016 is upon us. Will the GOP be ready?
