If you participate in the blogosphere, then your insanity sensor must be working overtime. Nearly every day someone reports a ridiculous new law or the expelling or arrest of yet another child for using the “g” word. We mock their ignorance and make jokes about those who hurt others for their own political gain. We laugh, but what is happening is not funny. It is serious. We are doing irreparable damage to a generation of defenseless children who liberals are calling perpetrators, but they are victims.
Corrupt, foolish adults all over the country are using children as disposable tools in a war against reason and rationality. Children parrot their world. They watch hours of people threatening and shooting one another on television. They make games from their perceptions of life. I played house as a child. My children grew up in a pastor’s home, so they played church. We all remember playing cowboys and Indians, or cops and robbers. However, this is no longer allowed.
On January 4th, a Sumter, SC school expelled a 6-year-old girl for bring her brother’s toy gun to class. Her parents fought a valiant, unsuccessful campaign to get her back in school. A letter dated January 15th from Henrietta Green, a representative for the district stated: “Please advise Naomi that her presence is not allowed on any school property/bus or at any school sponsored activity on or off campus. She will be subject to the criminal charge of trespassing.”
“She cannot even be in my vehicle when I go to pick up my other children,” her mother said.
On December 21st, a Silver Spring, MD district suspended a 6-year-old boy for pointing his finger like a gun and saying “pow.” They said it was a “threat to shoot a student.”A Talbot County, MD school suspended two 6-year-old boys for playing cops and robbers during recess and using their fingers to make pretend guns. A school just outside Cleveland, OH, suspended a 6-year-old boy for 10 days and he faces expulsion after bringing an airsoft gun to school.
A 5-year-old PA girl was in trouble for a “terroristic threat” for a conversation she had with classmates. They were discussing playing with a Hello Kitty “bubble gun” that blows bubbles. She said, “I’ll shoot you, you shoot me, and we’ll all play together.” This threat got her a 10 day suspension from school which they eventually shortened to two days. And, who has not heard about Josh Welch, the 7-year-old boy suspended in Baltimore for chewing his pop tart into the shape of a gun instead of the mountain he was trying to create?
Harsh unjust treatment destroys a child’s ambition and fuels his anger. That is why a Florida school suspended a 16-year-old teenage boy for 3 days after he stopped another student from shooting his classmate. It does not make sense, unless you know the motives behind these knee-jerking reactions.
We must understand why far left leaning politicians, pundits, and educators are damaging our children for their own agenda. Disarming America is only part of their objective. They use it as an excuse for their behavior. Destroying our peace of mind and keeping us agitated are key results of this behavior.
God designed us to need rest for our minds, emotions, and our bodies. Tired, frustrated, and anxious people cannot function properly. Our government understands this and uses it against us. They need our emotions to be stirred, and want to discourage us by the senseless bullying going on every day. The more outrageous the new laws or rules, or unreasonable the incident with a defenseless child, the more frustrated we are. The more frustrated we are, the less we will use reason and logically think through to find a solution. Agitated emotions stop the human mind from using calm, reason and logic. Instead of a composed response, we react emotionally.
Anger is increasing in America. Government minions know that Americans will do anything to protect our children. We want to do something when we hear that the system is destroying another child. We would like to lash out at those who are doing this madness, but we cannot. There are few outlets for our anger and feelings of helplessness. We feel as if we are on an emotional rollercoaster because things are increasingly getting worse. Our government is using this rollercoaster as the vehicle to drive Americans to destructive actions that will cause our downfall if we let it.
The more we know why they are after the children, the more we understand them. The more we understand them, the better equipped we are to respond calmly, in a way that can effect change. Emotional reactions will not help our children, but letters, faxes, emails, and phone calls by calm, knowledgeable constituents can move mountains, or perhaps even a Congressman or two.
